The guide was great and knowledgable. He knew a lot of history and was always animated enough to be interesting! The food that I tasted was excellent, and the restaurants we visited looked top notch (and were surprisingly affordable for Manhattan!). I took my wife back that night and we ate at a great little Italian restaurant. I would highly recommend this to foodies or others! |

College class from California in NY for Theatre trip

Being a college professor with a class of my students visiting New York for a theatre trip, I was attracted to your tour because I was interested in having my students learn about the history of Greenwich Village. Unfortunately, the tour concentrated much more on introducing the tourists to the food places and not that much on the historical aspects of the Village...perhaps it was the particular Guide we had. Maybe a different guide would have satisfied me more. I must say that the food samplings were wonderful. I will proabably sign up again next year and hope that the history will be more emphasized. Great idea, though, now refine it...thanks! |

Todd was the perfect mix of friendly and informative. In not great weather we all had a great time. There is something wonderful about being introduced to a section of New York we rarely visit. Of course we will return to the area on our own to enjoy a full meal as the snacks provided left no room. We all agreed to plan the Chelsea/meatpacking district tour soon. Thanks Diane |

We had a wonderful 4 days in NY,we were in a TV audience, went to a Broadway play, shopping, carrriage ride thru Central Park and other sightseeing, but the highlite of our trip was our 3 hour "Foods of NY" tour in Greenwich Village. Our tour guide Jenny was very gracious and full of interesting information, not only about foods and resturants but also about the history and architecture of the Village. The many food tastings the tour provided from many of the resturants, pastry shops, chocolate factory and cheese shop, pizza shop etc. were outstanding. Go hungry, you will not need lunch. We spent the remainder of the day returning to many of the stores, resturants and pastry shops we visted on the tour. We went back to one of the resturants for dinner that evening. We will definitely go on the Chealsea Market tour on our next visit and would even like to re-do this tour. This tour was excellent! |

The walking/tasting tour was amazing. We learned really interesting things about Greenwich Village, concerning its architecture and history, that we never would have known had we not taken this tour, even though half of us are from the NYC. In addition, the restaurants we visited were perfect -- from the pizza place to the bakeries to the cheese shop to the meat store to the turkish restaurant. These restaurants, along with the local shops we visted, all have something significant about them, like their age or their uniqueness, and are on the tour for a good reason. Lastly, our tour guide, Cindy, was fantastic and made the tour worth recommending to everyone I know (and I did). This tour is definitely for New Yorkers as much as it's for tourists. |

A friends mom told me about the tour and said it sounded wonderful. we had no idea how great it really would be. Even though it was pretty cold we had a great time eating our way through the village. We learned some great history and we have already told all our friends who couldnt believe some of it. After the tour we walked back through all the places and ate again!! Great Job! Can't wait to do the other one |

The food tour was clearly one of the best things that we did in New York City. Not only did my wife and I thoroughly enjoy it, but so did our 11 year old son. The various restaurants and shops welcomed us and seemed pleased to be able to share food items. We have visited NYC on several occasions, but this was the first time that we actually were able to see how "regular New Yorkers" live. After the tour was over, we immediately went back to one of the pastry shops and enjoyed additional treats! We look forward to returning to Greenwich Village and spending more time at some of the restaurants and shops that we were introduced to. By the way, our tour took place on a cold and windy Sunday in January. We dressed VERY WARMLY, and our guide was nice enough to do most of the talking inside, rather than outside. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes to eat and who is interested in learning more about NYC. |

I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Cindy, was fun, informative and very considerate. Despite the freezing cold temperatures (14 degrees), the entire group enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour Greenwich Village experience. I'm planning in taking my husband once the weather warms up!! |

It was wonderful, the tour leader Sindy was enthusiastic and well informed and known. We found out the history of all the establishments we visited as well as a number we did not get to!
Delicious food, an interesting lesson in local history and plenty of laughs. |
