Well worth the time - Our guide was great!

Cindy, our tour guide was full of personality and extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the tour. Her food and history knowledge was very noticeable. She also seemed genuinely enthusiastic about all phases of the tour. She held our interest at every stop and as we were walking, She was easy to understand and talked over the noise of the city very well. Her presentations didn't sound scripted, but natural for her. My wife and I learned an incredible amount of facts on food, architecture, history, lifestyles, neighborhoods and other facts about New York City life. The food was delicious at every stop. The shopkeepers know and respect Cindy. She was thorough in her descriptions of the food preparations and the exact original cities the foods represented. She also saw many 'friends' in the neighborhoods as we toured, so she is very familiar with the area and family histories of all the places we visited. We certainly didn't need dinner for a long time after the tour. We have been on many tours and the guide can make or break a good experience. Cindy certainly added a great deal of fun and entertainment to our tour. We would also recommend this tour to any visitor to NYC, whether first timers, or seasoned visitors to the Big Apple.

This is the third year I have taken a NYC Food tour...and I will return at any time I can for more. The guides, this time was Marie on the Greenwich Village tour are spectacular. I absolutely love the tours, the history, the food and the personalities of the guides. I would recommend the tours for any one above 10 years old to 110 years olds.

Can't Wait to Try Another Tour

I just moved to NYC and took my mother and sister-in-law out since they were in town. What a wonderful experience! Marie was informative, funny, and courteous. The 9 samples were plenty to keep us full and we even brought home the delicious chocolate chip cookies and leftovers cheese & olives. They can't wait to come for another visit and join a different tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village Walking Food Tour. The samples of food were delicious and I was stuffed by the end of the tour (don't eat before you go). Plus learning about Greenwich Village was very interesting. I highly recommend this tour. The tranquil atmosphere of the Village was very pleasant as well. I couldn't believe I was in New York!

Berri was great ....but
Thu, Sep 6, 12   11:30 AM JMassey Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My husband and I enjoyed taking this tour, and Berri did a fantastic job of guiding us around. She was knowledgable and kept the tour going. However, we had a family with small children in our group. Had we been given the choice we would have requested NO children. And honestly didnt think anyone would want to subject their chuldren to such a tour. They were distracting and cranky as children are - no fault of their own. Otherwise we WILL encourage others to take the tour, however have them inquire about going with a group that did not include children

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of the Village. Our guide, Marie, was knowledgeable and most friendly and accommodating. There was more than enough food at the many samplings we had. A great way to spend three hours.

A fantastic taste of New York history & local food

Kurt our tour guide was phenomenal, not only was he well versed in the history of the area, & the food, he was entertaining! I grew up in the area and came back with a friend who has never been to New York. It was a great way to get away from the busy tourist traps and get a personal view of the village. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the local area and loves food. Next time I come back I would do another tour in a different area. Well worth the money and time. We definitly hit the best spots for pizza, canolies, and Murray's cheese shop is the best!!!
