| Knowledgable guides gave insight into the neighborhood as well as informed descriptions of the culinary opportunities that were highlights of the tour. The neighborhood (if not the tour) will be on my itinerary the next time I visit NYC. I will definitely recomment the tour to others. I look forward to full meals in a number of the restaurants that were pointed out. |

| We really enjoyed the tour. I didn't realize we would be eating so much!! My daughter, who is a chef, wanted to move into Murray's Cheese Shop! It was a great time. I will certainly do another Foods of New York tour the next time I'm in town. |

| Our tour guide was absolutely delightful giving a sense of history to the food and the place. The weather was perfect as was the experience. I almost wish that the tour could have been extended to include MacDougal street area towards NYU and Washington Square. |

| Kurt the guide was quite the catch. He was organized, memorized every first name sucessfully from the start (I would guess there were 14 of us) and could easily engage in both personal and professonal discussions with detail and humor. The descriptions of places, history, restaurants, and selections of food were quite good.
I would recommend this to anyone --it was a great way to spend three hours and have a "grazing" style of lunch.
This tour is not wheelchair compatable. |

| i knew we would eat some good munchies - and indeed we did enjoy the food. But i was completely thrilled with how much we learned and laughed. Even as a local new yorker, i saw blocks i never knew of, and learned about architecture and the history of new york. To top that off - our tour guide Kurt was just hilarious. He was so knowledgeable regarding food, it's preparation and it's presentation. But he was also a high-energy smooth-talking comedian. He knocked Leonardo and Cher, but in a tasteful sarcastic manner - so as not to offend our polite out of towners!
He was friendly and sincere with the store owners and really made us feel like insiders. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to smile and eat - whether you are from south dakota or soho.
the one thing to be aware - bring your lactaid pills if you need to - most tastings have some dairy in them and when you are in the vip room of murrays cheese shop with a small group of strangers - you don't want to make enemies with your emissions!
Great job Kurt, Foods of new york - and Zerve - for telling me about this tour when i really was calling to book a magic show! |

| Curt set the bar extremely high for any future guided tours. We were thoroughly impressed and the experience far exceeded our expectations. His knowledge, style and demeanor made what might have been ok, just fantastic. He made the tour very enjoyable and interesting. We felt it was a good value, fell in love with Greenwich Village and, how could I forget, the food tasting was awesome. We would very highly recommend the tour to others. |

| Our tour guide, Cindy, was warm, enthusiastic, and full of knowledge about the foods, restaurants and other vendors, and the neighborhood. All the food samples were delicious. I'm from NYC originally but have lived on the West Coast for 35 years and was in NY on vacation with a friend who'd not been in NYC before. Both of us had a wonderful time, and I can attest that it was a real "taste of NY" in many ways! I highly recommend this urban adventure as fun and educational, and very well run by FoodTours (and Cindy!). |

| We enjoyed the tour of Bleeker Street so much that we are going to take the other tours offered by Zerve. We go to the city on a regular basis but never thought of taking a walking tour. Our tour guide was very informative and a pleasure to walk with. After the tour was over we walked the area and enjoyed the restaurants and shops - bought the best olive oil, Italian sausage and cheese. As a result of the walking tour we are more informed about the area and will be going back soon. The tour guide made the walk exciting due to her knowledge of the city and her great personality. We received the tour as a gift and think it is a great gift to give. |

| My friend was visiting from Texas, and having never visited the northeast, I thought he would enjoy a trip to the city. I found out about these tours while researching things to do in the city online and found that the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural tour was quite popular... and with good reason.
We began our tour with a stop at the best pizza place Ever. Throughout the tour we also stopped at an olive oil store, a meat specialty shop with divine rice balls of delight, a cheese shop, a cookie shop, another pizza place, a Thai restaurant, and bakery. All of the food was delicious and you definitely won't leave hungry.
We also learned about the culture and history of Greenwich Village. You will learn quite a bit about the architecture in the area, which I found to be fascinating. There are many unique buildings and stories to go with them. My friend's favorite spot was an underground room with colorful lights and a quaint stage for performance art.
This tour is definitely something you can't miss while you are visiting New York. I plan to take my friends back to the area and show them what I have learned. It was a great experience. |
