| My husband and I very much enjoyed the Greenwich Village tour. It included not only food and restaurant discussions but also local history and knowledge of the area was helpful and interesting. It was outstanding. I only wish we allotted more time to return to specific restaurants and shops after the completion of the tour so we could better experience their products. |

| It was exactly what I had wanted it to be....
-A lively guide that had been living in the neighborhood for years. Other people that live there stopped to say hello to him and called him by name. He was a character!
-A history of the the neighborhood. Our guide talked about people, different time periods, architectural things (like how you could tell what time period a building was built).
-The food. The tastings were wonderful and plentiful, some with history behind them and some new.
The tour was just the right length of time. We saw things we would not even know existed if we had just gone walking on our own. I highly recommend this tour! |

| We enjoyed the tour so much I know we will do this tour or one of the others offered when we go to the city again. It was one of the highlights of our trip !
I heard about the food tour from a friend who went to the city earlier this year. She raved about it. My mother (71), daughter (20), two neices (16 & 21) and I were planning a trip for Thanksgiving so I went online and looked the tour up. The site was very user friendly and I liked getting the one group ticket via email (less to keep up with). You can't beat the price for something to do in NYC that includes the tour and great food.
As for the tour - WOW. The starting location was easy to locate and the tour started promptly. The small number in our group made it easy for people to keep up and for all of us to get inside the sometimes small but always quant spaces. It also made it possible for us to interact with and get to know others in our group. Our guide was excellent !! Extremely knowledgable and very entertaining. We not only learned about resturants and their specialties but so much more. The history and way of life in the village from it's origins to the present along with architectural elements and stories of the areas famous building were pointed out as we moved at a steady pace around the tour area. The distance we covered was comfortable and we made frequent stops. If you wear appropriate walking shoes and dress for the weather you won't have any problems.
And THE FOOD we tasted on the tour ...I can't wait to go back. What a wonderful variety and just enough. We tasted appetizer, main course and dessert foods in portions you could easily eat. It was great ! Sometimes we walked through the resturant and ate outside, other times we sat inside for about 15 minutes while we tasted. I also liked learning about other recommended resturants not included in the food tasting as we passed them on the tour. We even went inside some of them also. Plan to stay and go back to some of the speciality shops after the tour because you won't have time to browse and shop as the tour moves along. |

| If you schedule the tour on the first day you will never waste time looking for a place to eat the rest of your trip. You will have all the insights of where to go and how much to plan on spending. And you get to taste it before you actually buy it! |

| Although we have lived in NYC for 7 years, we still enjoy getting to know more about the history and culture of our city. Since food is part of that culture, it's an added (and yummy) bonus to take a tour that has tastings. We have also taken the Chelsea Market tour and enjoyed it.
We were both still a little hungry after the tour ended - but we hadn't eaten breakfast, so we were both pretty hungry to start with.
Our tour guide was informative and interesting and did a good job. Although some of the shops were already familiar to us, it was nice to discover new places and get to know more about the old ones. There were definitely places I would return to again.
The Chelsea Market tour may be better for native New Yorkers because they are less likely to be familiar with the Market then some of the places in the Village, and it's such a unique place.
Regardless, we would definitely go on another tour in the future. |

| amazing food. those little cheesy risotto balls were heaven in my mouth. tour was a little long, but it's probably because it was freeeeezing outside. Heather did a great job keeping us entertained and fed! my friend was visiting from out of town and thought the tour was great too. take this tour! |

| I thought the tour leader (Marie) did an excellent job describing the places we went to as well as adding in historical and cultural bits where appropriate. I thought she balanced it very well.
The food was very good and I thought the mix was good as well (high end to more affordable). |

| our tour guide: michael was extremely informative & funny.
he kept the whole tour very interesting by pointing out facts about the architecture, history & of course foods & restaurants. He made eye contact & was very personable. the tour itself was not "touristy" at all, which was great because as new yorkers, we felt we got our money's worth.
desppite the very cold weather, we had a fantastic time.!!!! |

| We hadn't been to Greenwich Village since sneaking down there on a trip during high school. We decided to take the food tour and see it again. We had a great time. Michael, our guide, involved everyone in the group. He had a unique and off beat affection for his neighborhood. He gave us the inside scoop on architecture, history and food of the area. It was cold, but he kept us moving and laughing along the way! It was great fun! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wanted to see more than 42nd and Broadway! |
