My niece had recommended this tour so we signed up for it as this was our first time in NYC. We loved the tour and our tour guide. The tour guide was Sephrah and she made the tour so entertaining and informative. My husband and I are serious foodies so I will give you a review on each stop:
Joe's Pizza - Not impressed
O & Co Olive Oil Shop - One of my favorites
Home - We both loved this stop and would go back
Cornelia Street Cafe - Why did we stop here? No food sampled
Faicco's - Not impressed
Centro Vinoteca - Nice stop
Milk & Cookie - Loved it
Murray's - Nice and informative
Rocco's - Good ending
We loved the history that was given to us along the way. |

This was a wonderful tour, combining the tasting of a variety of food with a neighborhood tour of Greenwich Village. We learned about the history of Greenwich Village and saw some of the architectural highlights. All the food was delicious, and made me want to go back for more. I loved the tour! |

Great tour to get acquainted with Greenwich, taste fantastic variety of food, and become a bit more "New Yorker." Sephrah was an outstanding tour guide! Would (and have) recommend to a friend. |

Bert was our guide. You can tell that he really likes his job and his food. He was as much entertaining as knowledgable for all that was needed for the average tourist to consume. At first I thought that he was going to have his time taken up solely by a talkative Canadian travelling on her own and obviously feeling lonely, but professionally he was polite to her and managed to keep the whole group feeling as we were all part of the tour.
Congratulations on a fantastic tour, that is so well priced for what is delivered |

We could barely eat the last sampling because of the satisfying amount of food. The guide was upbeat and informative. There was a good selection of stops and points of interest around Greenwich Village. We returned to a few stores to purchase items with the discounts. Highly recommended tour. |

My husband and I frequently visit NYC from New Mexico (at least once, and up to 3 times a year). As arts professionals, we generally spend most of our time in the theater district, not only to see shows, but also because neighborhoods like Greenwich Village can be more confusing to us.
This tour was a perfect experience for my husband and I, not only because it allowed us to see a really fun part of the city without getting lost, but it was also an excellent way to try new food and get interesting historical information. The food was really great and just diverse enough. (Not too adventurous, but not what we'd eat at home either) The size of the tour was ideal, so it didn't feel like we got too much or too little attention.
We loved it so much that we went back to the neighborhood and patronized 3 different establishments in the following days.
The only thing my hubby and I weren't totally sold on was the chocolate chip cookie from Milk and Cookies. We both felt it was sub-par even to McDonald's cookies (we realize how trashy that makes us sound). It was our opinion that a more adventurous cookie would have been more fun and probably tasted better.
I plan to go back on different tours on subsequent trips, and may even return to this one when bringing other friends to the city. |
