Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

The food and cultural tour I participated in was an excellent way to spend the afternoon. I was initially nervous about committing to a three hour tour, but our guide, Kurt, was extremely entertaining and informative. We enjoyed all the food we sampled, as well learning more about Greenwhich Village. Overall, though, Kurt was the best part of the tour. He kept us laughing for the entire three hours. Great tour!

our tour guide, barri, was EXCELLENT! we really enjoyed her info and the spots we stopped. however, although they were enjoyed, it was a bit heavy on the sweets. the tour needs at least 1 more stop with a lunch type food.

This tour is a must for anyone wanting to get the real feel for Greenwich Village. It is full of information that the flyers around town do not have. This is the second year in a row that we have taken this tour because there is so much fun information that taking it just once is not enough. The tour is led by a local resident of Greenwich Village who is happy to fill you in on real life in the village. The food tasting is absolutely fantastic. We tasted food from pizza, to cheeses, to delicious chocolate chip cookies, and desserts. Go hungry because you will be eating many wonderful foods. We finished the tour with very full stomaches and heads full of knowledge. It was simply a delightful three hour tour!!

We had a fantactic tour. Our tour guide Mike was fantastic. The food was phenominal and the sites spectacular! Be sure to go on the tour with an appetite. You are given sooo much food! Would recommend this tour highly!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. First our guide, Mike was fantastic! Second we loved the food!. Third we loved Greenwich and last we loved all of the local history. We went back down to one of the restaurants for supper that evening and hope to return to the area on our next trip to NY. I will definitely recommend this to anyone I know going to NYC.

This food tour was the highlight of our trip to NYC. Kurt, the tour guide, was extremely knowledgable, and he held my 7-year-old son's interest for 3 hours. We plan on going back next summer, and I'd like to do the food tour again.

This was our favorite thing we did the three days we where in NYC. Our guide Cindy was very enthusiastic and made the tour so enjoyable with her knowledge of the city and her GREAT sense of humor. The combination of the history, trivia, architecture, food and how the city of Greenwich evolved since the early 1800's was wonderfully explained. I had our 16 and 18 year daughters with me and they LOVED the tour. Especially the stop at the speakeasy. When we visit NYC again we will be doing a tour every day of the other areas of the city and making reservations for dinner at some of the restuarants we visited on this tour. Cindy is just a gem and a genuine pleasure to spend with for three hours in Greenwich. It was the highlight of our trip.

Just got back from NYC and I highly recommend the Greenwich VIllage tour! As my husband was in business meetings during the days of our stay, I took this tour alone and did not feel akward in the group. The tour guide Curt was fantastic. He really took command of the group and set a snappy pace throughout the neighborhood. There was a mix of tastings, history, and local color. SInce it lasts 3 hours and there is a good bit of walking and listening, it would be best for anyone over the age of 10. If you take this tour at the beginning of your stay in NYC, you can revisit the establishments later and explore the area.

Our entire family enjoyed the combination of the food, history, and trivia as we walk through the Village. When we returned home and people asked us what we did, the food tour was one of the top two things we shared. It was just long enough and supplied the right amount of food to keep us going.

My 13 year old daughter and I had a wonderful time. Very informative about the area and the resturants/food. Very friendly, intelligent guide. I would highly recommend this tour! Nice variety of foods.
