It was a great walk.

Our guide, Amy, was delightful. She seemed to really know the area and made the walk more fun with lots of local trivia. The food was great. We really appreciated having her point out some of the local restaurants that are not in all the tour books. We ended up going back to Palma for dinner on Saturday night. I would definitely plan to do the Chelsea tour on my next trip to NYC.

We had been to NY before, but had not had time on previous trips to spend much time in Greenwich village. This was a nice way to get acquanted with the area, the architecure, the history and the food. We had two kids with us, aged 16 and 14, and they enjoyed it also. The guide was enthusiastic and seemed to really enjoy showing people around NY.

It was a great day, Cindy is a vibrant an entertaining Tour guide. We got to see New York in quite a different way. It was nice to see the neighborly way Cindy interacted with everyone she came in contact with. We learned a lot about the local history and architecture as well as tasting some very tasty food items. It ended all too soon.

I would do it again tomorrow

The tour was a blast - the guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and knew everyone we met on the the st reet. The food was out of this world and we learned so much about the history of the neighborhood, the architechture, as well as the story behind the shops we visited, both new and old. The only problem with our tour was our timing - we waited until the day we were leaving so we will have to wait for out next trip to go back to our favorite places. I would do this tour again tomorrow and I have recommended it to everyone I know!

Bari was the perfect tour guide. We live in PA., but i grew up in central NJ. I thought i had already eaten some of the best pizza. Not true. We have been home just two days and I want to come back to the city just to bring home Joe's pizza, Rocco's cannolli's, Bruno's fruit tarts, those delicious cookies, the doner kabab, and the rice balls, to share with friends. We went back to Murrays and brought home cheese, and then to Aphrodisia for more of those delectable choclates. There was only so much we could pack, that would not spoil. We feel like we have the " inside track " on where to find really great food, and restaurants, We did the tour on our last day. we can not wait to return to try all the restaurants we were introduced to. The stories about Chumley's were very entertaining. Please thank Bari for us. We truly had a great 3 hours.

I enjoyed hearing about the history of the area, the architecture, as well as sampling the great foods. I hope that there will be many more of these types of tours - next time I come to NYC I would like to spend a day in Chinatown or Little Italy exploring as we did in the village. Maybe you could have several different ones in the village such as the east & west. Barri was an excellent tour guide, and she made the day fun and exciting. I will look for her as a guide on the next tour I take.

We truly enjoyed the food tour of Greenwich Village. We had a young adult with us (family member and a very picky eater ) and she even enjoyed the food ,as well as, the history of the area! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC. We even had a relative who lives in New York and she never heard of the restaurants we visited or the history we learned about Greewich Village from this experience. We had enough food and no one left the tour hungry. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Three hours flew by and because we took our time, it did not feel like we walked too long. Our young adult is coming back to visit NYC with her college freinds and she told us that she wants to take them on this tour when they visit next year. We told all our East Coast relatives about it and we think they will be making a date to go on this tour of their area! Thumbs up for this tour and our guide! Richard & Janet L. Albuq., NM

Hot Day in July

Enjoyed our tour very much! Our tour guide was very informative. I was a little put off at first by his appearance, and his sense of humor, but warmed up to him . . . accepting him as an eccentric from the Village. He took us to some very interesting "off the beaten path" places and made me want to live in this "quaint" village in the middle of NYC. Food places were great! We went back to the bakeries for more and plan on making reservation at some of the restaurants when we return to the city. Thought the tour was going to be boring, just tasting food here and there, but we were told so many interesting tidbits about Greenwich Village that we never knew, got some history, saw the narrowest house, even got some dirt on the rivalries in the area. Would recommend this tour to anyone who loves food! Will try the other two food tours on our next visit.

This tour was a unique way to see Greenwich; the food couldn't be beat either. I highly recommend our tour guide Zora. She kept things interesting and always had wonderful insight to share with all of us.
