| Two days after the tour, we made reservations to one of the recommended restaurants.
(Cornelia Street Cafe) It was everything and more as promised. We're already planning another tour! |

| We were greeted by Cindy outside Murrays. Immediately we knew we were going to have a great time. So many things to take in and it was made really enjoyable by our excellent tour guide. We learned and laughed for over 3 hours..... as well as sampled some great food! I would recommend this tour to anyone. |

| Tour started on time at the Murray Cheese Shop and was easy to find as well as a short walk from the Subway station. Heather, our guide, was personable and well informed. The various stops at a two highly rated pizza joints was neat to compare the styles and taste. I loved the perfect brown crusts! We also had tastings at a more formal restaurant of a tasty cauliflower dish. The cookies at Milk and Cookies were memorable (I want one NOW). Murrays Cheese Shop had great tastings of cheese, olives. The Vegetarian Oriental Restaurant (Soy and Sake) was a shocker to find out that it was not meat. It sure tasted like it. The final stop at ROCCO's for cannoli's were to die for. We also enjoy walking the streets where it was more residential and learning about the history of Greenwich Village. The tour is worth the money. |

| This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. The food provided on the tour was all very delicious. We ate, in order: (1) a slice of Brooklyn-style pizza from Joe's Famous Pizza; (2) soppresata, a selection of cheeses, olives and pickles from Murray's Cheese Shop; (3) 3-Cheese Macaroni & Cheese from Home Restaurant; (4) a couple of chocolates from Aphrodesia; (5) BBQ vegetarian "pork" with fried rice, gyoza and seaweed salad from Soy & Sake; (6) A chocolate toffee cookie from Milk and Cookies; (7) a slice of pizza from Bleecker Street Pizza; (8) cannoli from Rocco's pastry shop. Some previous reviews said they didn't feel that they ate enough - I could barely stuff any more in by the end of the tour and I'm not a small-plate person. Barri, our tour guide, had incredible knowledge of the area and we covered a reasonable amount of ground over the 3 hour tour. If we hadn't been headed to the airport right after the tour, we definitely would have picked one of the restaurants for a meal later in our trip. The value of the tour in terms of the amount and variety of food we ate and the historic insights given to the neighbourhood was excellent.
Next time we're in New York, we're keen to do another Foods of NY walking tour! |

| We had a great time. Everything was perfectly spaced. The thought of eating and walking for 3 hours was a little frightening at first. But we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great and we walked and sat just enough. Everyone in our group feels the same way. We cant wait to go back and check out another tour. I also recommended it to my friend who is planning something for her book club and she seemed very interested in this tour for them. My other family members are also future customers. |
