Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Our guide was very knowledgable about the area. She was very enthusiastic and looked after our group very well. I would suggest that you take in the tour at the beginning of a trip as you get great tips and discounts for restaurants, shops in the area and great theatre suggestions. Although it rained our entire tour, the food was unbelievably delicious and was well worth the walk in the rain. When we return to New York we will be sure to take in another tour with Foods of NY Tours.

I've been a resident of Brooklyn for 3 years and I never experienced the West Village like I did on this tour. I received 2 tickets as a gift, so I brought along a native NY friend. Every bit of food consumed was amazing, from the arancinis to the canolis. The tour guide was great, and we learned a lot about the history and architecture of the area. I would highly recommend this tour to both visitors and locals!

Cindy was a very entertaining tour guide which really made the tour. The food was great with lots of variations between savoury and sweet. Really loved the Italian Palma and the incredible Milk & Cookies. Would definitely recommend.

I went there with eight other friends from Brazil. We love the tour in general, the historical and archicteture info, the guide, walking through the Village, and so on. But I specifically loved the food. We tried some very interesting things, specially from Italy, and was well worth it. Our guide was great. It's a tour one simply cannot miss while in New York!

We did a tour of the village with Ted, he was excellent. He was very friendly, informative, and really good at what he does. We had a group of about 14. My family lives outside of the city but my sister works in the city and was so happy she did this. We were thinking of how normally you'd walk down the street searching for somewhere to eat, but this tour gave us so many place to go back and try. It was a great way to spend the day in the city, we also appreciated how they accomodated to vegetarians, thank you!! The history of the area was very interesting. We were very full after the tour but stayed around and went to some other stores when we were done.

We had such a fabulous day. Our guide Cindy was so full of information not just about food but also about the neighborhood. If you love real food then this is the tour for you. Great value.

We ended our trip to NY with this tour.. Bert was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable of not just Greenwich Village but NYC as a whole. The food we had was AMAZING and we definitely plan to try those restaurants when we go back to NY. I would highly recommend Bert or anyone from Foods of NY Tours. I was recommended by a friend who has done a couple of the tours. We will definitely be doing another tour when we return to the city.

Our office came for the Greenwich Village tour as a staff outing. Bert was an amazing tour guide, and we all left there STUFFED!
