Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

My friends and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I've been to the Village many times before, but never realized just how charming it is. Our guide took us to places that didn't even seem like we were in the Village. We got to go into several places through the "back door". Very , very interesting . Then we got to sample many of the shops delicacies and what a treat that was! After the tour my friends and I went back to several of the shops to purchase their goodies. It was a wonderful tour and very well worth the cost of the ticket. I'll recommend this tour to many of my friends. Thanks for providing us with a another view of Greenwich Village.

can`t recommend this tour any higher! we even went back and ate in one of the restaurants that evening. The food is all fantastic and plentiful and the guide was very friendly, enthusiastic and informative. By far the best thing I did in New York

Such a great tour! I really enjoyed learning more about the history of the area and its fabulous restaurants and shops. A terrific primer for someone newly moved, or frequent visitor, to NYC. Our guide was entertaining, engaging and knowledgeable - providing just the right amount of fun facts and information. Besides that, the food was delicious and larger servings than I expected to receive on a group tour - yummy!

Great fun! Guide (Susan) was knowledgeable, good humored, interesting. The whole experience was totally enjoyable. Learned a lot and had a good time doing it. Would certainly recommend it to anyone going to NY.

We had a wonderful time on the tour... Sue was great and we learned so much about the Village... good food, great tips for the next time we are in New York.. and what a surprise to learn how reasonable the Village restaurants are. Would highly recommend this tour to all ages ... Next time we are in New York will do the Meat Packing tour with you...

I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in Greenwich Village, its history and architecture. I do not think highly of the food part of the tour ...for example, some of the pastries were NOT fresh and the cannoli had poor quality chocolate chips on them. Italian and French bakers can do better and do so even in Greenwich Village.

Learning the history of Greenwich Village while enjoying samples of the delicious food available locally - what more could one ask? Add getting the low down on some of the more colorful locals and you have a wonderful tour.

We did both the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour and this one all in one week. This was our favorite. Mike was our tour guide and he was a native to the Village. It was like having a personal tour of the village with one of the locals. My husband loved the stop at Chumley's and we both loved the pizza stop!! We would have never ventured to those locations if we had not done the tour. I felt like we really gained an appreciation of Greenwich Village during the tour. It was an absolute pleasure and something we would recommend to our friends who are visiting NYC. Thank you for offering this!

We thought this was an outstanding tour and it was made even more enjoyable by our tour guide, Michael Karp. He was very knowledgeable, outgoing, entertaining and had a great love of the Village. I would definitely recommend this tour and already have recommended it. We enjoyed all the food tastings and the history of the Village and learned things that we would never know about the Village without being on this tour. It was well planned and organized and a highlight of our trip to New York.
