This was an excellent tour with a very informative tour guide. Not only was the food excellent but the tour took us to some interesting places as well and Mike (tour guide) was an excellent source of interesting information. He seemed to know a lot of the people we met along the way.
Chumley's was a must see and we would not have seen it without the tour. If you want to get the original Greenwich Village experience this is a must do tour. Highly recommended. |

On the recommendation of my sister and parents who attended your tour separately, I booked tickets for a birthday gift to my boyfriend b/c we both LOVE the village and especially the fantastic selection and high concentration of places to enjoy a meal.
While I do think every stop on the tour was tastey I was disappointed with the overall pace.
I realize that Saturday afternoons make for busy foot traffic in the village, and clearly our guide had a vast wealth of knowledge to share about the area, however I think the lenght of many of his talks throughout the tour were a bit too much at times. This seemed to be felt through out the group (16 people total) as many seemed to lose interest in the anicdotes when they exceeded 10 minutes or so. Granted he explained we might go over a few minutes, I did not anticipate an additional 40 minutes and certainly did not want to leave early from the tour - I paid for the full tour and didnt want to miss out. Also I would have liked to step foot in a few of the places, though again i realize with the busy traffic on saturdays in the village this probably wouldnt work out for 16 people.
I think a faster pace, quicker stories being told while walking, and less breaks (bathroom or otherwise) would have helped keep the crowd more engaged.
All in all, I loved the idea of the food tour, but I dont think I would reccommend tour guide, Michael, in the future. |

On the recommendation of my dentist, my friend and I booked the tour while we were on my retirement excursion to NYC. Our guide, Curtis, was the best! He was entertaining, informative, personable, and seemed to enjoy the tour as much as we did---a welcome treat! We could have walked Greenwich Village on our own but would have seen little in comparison. The food sampling was delightfully varied and yummy, making for return visits a must. The tour was the best, one I'll recommend to anyone who asks for what to see and do in New York City! |

We had a blast, our tour guide Kurt was great. He brought knowledge and humour to the tour. The food was awesome and gave us a taste of the New York melting pot. We started to think that the same thing must exist in Toronto our home and plan to investigate for next years outing. We plan to look into a walking food tour on all our future trips. |

We had a witty, charming, and very knowledgable guide. This is such a far cry from the canned tours I've been on before. We went places we never would have found on our own, learned their history, met the local folks, and, of course, ate great food. |

Exciting Introduction to Greenwich Village

Our leader, Kurt, was there to meet us early and was most welcoming. Throughout, his knowledge of, and enthusiasm for the area and the people was fantastic. He led us through streets and cafes and squares and restaurants with great aplomb. Nothing phazed him,and he seemed to please all the restaurataurs with his entourage. Consequently, we were treated with great courtesy by our generous hosts.
We learned a great deal about this very important part of New York--so much more, and in a far more exciting way --than exploring on our own.
The food tasting was very important indeed, not only for the sheer delight in tasting the local delicacies (which were scrumptious!) but also for interaction amongst members of the group, which made for camaraderie.
Please keep this outing going and please don't lose Kurt. He is brilliant !
Many thanks for making this possible and for making the arrangements simple and workable.
Jean Moir.
