Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

We really enjoyed all the different foods and probably gained a pound or two as well. Equally important, was learning all about Greenwich Village and its special places and culture. It was three hours of total enjoyment.

Our tour guide, Sephrah, was very knowledgeable and quite entertaining. The selection of sites visited was just right and the time went by fast. Also, the size of the tour group was fine, any more beyond 16 would have been too cumbersome and hard to organize. Sephrah's humor was quite enjoyable and added to the tour. Just spouting facts and figures could make the tour dull. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and relatives. Also, I would like to acknowledge tour guide Heather's outstanding performance during another tour we took in September 2010.

This tour shows you one of the many hidden treasures of New York City - Greenwich Village. From the wonderful eateries; secret gardens; and beautiful old architecture of Greenwich Village - it was an amazing experience. Bert was an awesome tour guide, the food was delicious, and I have fallen in love with New York City all over again.

The tour was fantastic. We loved the food tastings and our tour guide Bert was interesting, well-informed, . . . and did he know his food! Bert spiced up the foodie aspects of the tour with interesting factoids and anecdotes about Greenwich Village. Our only criticism: Centro Vinoteca is guilty of some misleading advertising. We were told that Mondays were half-price drink days, but when we went back on Monday for a drink (even after asking and having the half-price special confirmed) we were presented with a full price bill and told the discount applied only to full bottles of wine. On the plus side, we went back to the village for dinner at Palma, and the food and service were superb ! We heartily recommend the tour,especially if you are lucky enough to get Bert as a guide.

Bert was an outstanding guide ~~ very knowledgeable and personable. We certainly enjoyed all the eating and all the facts about the area. This had been recommended by friends, and we will be recommending to others. Plus we plan to check out another one of your tours next year when we are in New York! GREAT tour!

This was 3 hours worth the cost! Tour Guide was excellent!!! Informative, funny, and very entertaining. Enjoyed all the shops we visited and the food we sampled. Learning about the history of the area and the history of the individual shops was great too. This tour is very organized and there's never a dull moment. I would recommend it for young adults and up. You do not walk a long distance but there is much standing. A MUST DO ON YOUR TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY.

Bert was a terrific tour guide and the food we ate and places we visited were perfect. I will highly recommend it. FYI, I checked "couple on a date" even though we've been married for 47 years. We do, still, date, but - for those who don't - I recommend you have a category that simply says "couple."

I have recommended this tour to everyone! My daughter lives in New York & I have told her to spread the word too. My tour guide Marie, was just terrific! I will make sure to do a tour whenever I'm in NYC.

My two daughters and myself went on this tour and I have to say it was the highlight of our vacation! We loved it and would recommend it to anyone. It's a must if your going to New York for vacation. Our tour guide Curt was amazing. He was so informative and so funny! The Greenwich Village tour is the best!!

Sephera (not sure of spelling, but definately not 'sufferage') was very amusing and entertaining. Her voice carried well and she didn't speak too quickly like most young people do. Her pace was perfect and she explained everything in detail and answered all questions. My friend and I wondered if she did any standup comedy?....she should; she has great timing and expression in both her voice and face. The tour was just long enough. I would do another one in a New York minute when in New York again. Well done!
