Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

This was a fun and informative tour with our guide, Curt. My daughter, 18, and my husband and I really enjoyed it, and we want to do another food tour in NYC!

This 3 hour tour was incredible!!! Be sure you start the tour with an empty stomach because you are literally eating every few minutes at the little "hidden gem" shops. I really enjoyed going into the little shops that I likely wouldn't have stopped in due to their location, decor or things like that and this tour introduced us to them. It was one of the highlights during our stay in New York and I would do it again when I return to New York. The little shops that we visited varied from pastry, to pasta, to dessert, to appetizers, to pizza, and much more! Everything was so delicious, it was like having the best flavors in your mouth at every stop. I would highly recommend this tour to friends and family.

Loads of interesting information given on the area & history. Food great, we went back the following evening for a meal in one of the restaurants. Guide was very knowledgeable about food and the area, architecture and history and tremendous fun. A MUST DO TOUR!!!

Generally, my husband and I do not take tours; we like to explore by serendipity. So, the husband was quite shocked when I told him that I had booked us for a food tour in Greenwich. Sephora (spelling??) was our able and enthusiastic guide. Sephora clearly knows her stuff (gourmet cooking school training) and led us through the wonders of Greenwich foods with energy and a great deal of humour. The food samples ranged from every-day (slice of pie, not pizza) to the gourmet (truffles and dates wrapped in bacon). One of the foods was the best macaroni and cheese we have ever tasted. In addition to the food, Sephora shared the history and stories of Greenwich village, including the architecture and the people who have lived there. Historical area planning is one of my professional interests, and again, Sephora clearly showed her expertise. An outstanding tour led by and outstanding guide!

I was not actually on the tour - my parents went to celebrate my stepdad's birthday. They said the tour was great. However, I was slightly involved because I had contacted them (corresponded with Amy) in regard to having a cake and candle brought out to my stepdad and the tour guide followed through. Thus making his birthday a bit more special. Thank you.

Greenwich village is the quietest spot in NYC. The tour provided plenty of food, and our guide, Bert, was very knowledgeable of the area. It made me feel like i could live there!

I had a very nice relaxed time and it was informative as well. I was pleasantly surprised that the amount of food did NOT leave me hungry. Our tour guide was very entertaining.

My daughter and I enjoyed our recent tour of Greenwich and Soho. Our guide (Marie) was organized and enthusiastic and we enjoyed the historical aspects of the tour as much as the tastings!

Our Guide (Marie), was the perfect hostess. This is clearly a neighborhood she loves and her enthusiasm is infectious. The food was delicious, the history of the neighborhood fascinating. I would definetely recommend it to friends.
