Best three hours in Manhattan!

This tour was recommended by a friend at home and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had plenty of time at each stop to learn about the history and culture of the West Village and to sample some excellent food. Everything ran smoothly--initial introduction was speedy, establishments were well chosen and prepared for our arrival, food was delicious and a good introduction to things I may not have known to try. I would definitely recommend this tour to others and will consider the other neighbourhood tours the next time I'm in New York.

This is a great tour. I am from out-of-town and attended with my 20-something daughter, who lives in Manhattan. I have been to NYC many times, but this was one of my favorite things I ever did here. We enjoyed it so much that we went back to the Village for dinner on Monday, taking advantage of the tasting menu deal at Rafele, a recent addition to the tour (which was fantastic). Our guide was friendly and informative, and the food on the tour was delicious and plentiful. We were stuffed for the rest of the day! I'm telling everyone I know to TAKE THIS TOUR!!

Local food is a reflection of the character and history of a locale. Taking this tour of downtown Manhattan with a Manhattanite showcasing the flavours, cultures and history of the area is a great way to see and taste NYC. Come with an empty stomach. Some of us forgot to do so and although we had a hearty breakfast before the tour, we still had a great taste of the eateries introduced to us.

I went on this tour with 6 of my friends from the NJ and CT area. We had a blast. We learned so much about Greenwich Village that it felt good to be a tourist for once even though I goto NY almost every week for work. My favorite stops on the tour were Palma, Murray's Cheese Shop, O&Co, Bar Raffaele and Milk & Cookies. Some of these places on the tour I would have never gone to without prior knowledge, but now I feel educated enough to sound somewhat intelligent. The only downside to this tour is that there was a lot of walking, and not nearly enough alcohol involved. It would have been nice to incorporate more wine more often, but the tour does state "Food Tour." Just know what you are getting. We had wine at one place halfway thru, which was a nice break. Our guide, Sephra, was HILARIOUS. No seriously, she was really fun and made the tour that much more enjoyable. She is the actress type that has a blast with every crew that comes through this tour. You won't be disappointed. At the end of the tour, I went back to a couple of the shops and bought some things. They will give you 10% off if you tell them you were with the tour, and the book you get has coupons on the back. Overall this was a great experience and I would recommend it to tourists or locals.

Loved the food tour! Our tour guide Bert was very good. He had lots of interesting history and details about the food and the area. I would highly recommend this tour. It is a bit of walking but many breaks and places to sit down. What a fun way to experience food and history at e same time!! This was my 2nd tour but first time for my husband, son and his girlfriend.

What a wonderful afternoon in Greenwich Village! Bert, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, fun, interesting and entertaining. We learned a lot about the area, ate wonderful food, met great people and had so much fun. My daughter, sister-in-law and I agree this tour was a highlight of our trip. We are normally not the "tour" type of people but this was more like a group of friends getting together for an afternoon of food and fun. Highly recommend!
