My college age daughter and I went on this tour along with a couple of friends.
What a great way to spend a few hours with family and friends. The food was good, the tour of the village was outstanding and the places we visited were all very friendly and hospitable. We will definitely go back to several of them for lunch or dinner.
At the end of it all we could not believe how much we had actually eaten over the few hours we were walking.
Thank you for a great tour experience. |

Our group of four had a very enjoyable time on the food tour. We enjoyed all of the food selections and learning about the history and culture of Greenwich Village. We highly recommend this tour. We plan on returning and participating in one of the other tours offered. |

We took the tour on one of the coldest days of the year (something like minus 8 - without allowing for the wind-chill factor), yet still had a great time.
The food-tasting element is more low-key than expected (a couple of bits of pizza, a rice ball, an Italian pastry and some cheese) but the informative, enthusiastic and entertaining style of our guide (Michael) - covering architecture, history and local anecdote as well as food - made it a tour to remember.
We were a group of four from London and while we sometimes shivered in the biting New York temperatures (making London seem almost balmy by comparison), this was a highlight of our trip.
Well worth sampling - but try to pick a warm day!

Kurt was our tour guide and he was enthusiastic and interesting. We took this tour to familiarize ourselves with the West Village area but we enjoyed it more than we could ever have guessed. The food was good and I particularly enjoyed the comments about the architecture and history. We enjoyed it so much that we related our experience to our dinner companions and they all want to take the tour now. The most important thing to me is that, now, when I return to the W. Village, I will feel like I know where I am going and what I am doing. Thanks for a great tour! |

I first went on this tour a couple years ago with a friend from Manhatten. I enjoyed it so much that I recently went again with a friend unfamiliar with Greenwich Village. I enjoyed it all over. My only slight criticism is that perhaps limiting the group to 10 would be more comfortable. (We were 15). |

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The walk was just enough to help us appreciate the food and not too strenuous. Liked the historical references and architecture lessons. The food was generous and a good variety of snacks, desserts, and heartier fare like pizza. Amy was a great tour guide.

Cindy knew a whole lot about the Village (both current and historically) and seemed to be well known and well liked by those in the community. Lots of sightseeing and discussion between the food tastings. Overall, we tried 2 different (half-slice sized) types of pizza, a wonderful rice ball from the Italian market, a delicious combined cheese, meat and bread sampler from Murray's, Amy's and the Italian market, the best cannoli we ever had at Rocco's and an "opera cake" at a Northern Italian bakery next to Rocco's. Would love to have a few more samples added to the tour, since it is truly a food tasting tour first and lasted over 3 hours, but we had a great time overall and hope to come back and do another tour (Chelsea/MePa) in the future |

did this on a recommendation of a friend who did the same Greenwich Village tour and she had 2 more food stops than I. Needed another food taste - of something other than pizza or desert.

Cindy kept us on schedule, informed, entertained, and full. What more could you ask? I will recommend it to all my friends visiting NYC. |
