My husband, my two boys who are approximately twenty years old and myself met Dianne our tour guide outside Murray's cheese shop in Greenwich. Dianne was good fun and made everybody welcome, even my two boys who felt awkward at the start soon relaxed and enjoyed themselves, especially once the food samples appeared. It wasa great way of meeting other people from different places with in the group. Dianne was very knowledgeable about the local area, which as a tourist we would never had time to gather ourselves. I wished I had taken the tour earlier on in my trip so that I could have benefited from everything I learnt about Greenwich. It certainly has made want to return to NY, I would definitely consider another tour. |

We were very happy to have booked this tour. It showed us an area of new york city that we would have probably not explored. Great restaurants, bars and stores that we will definitely visit on our next trip. |

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was very well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable on the food, the shop and restaurant owners and the history of Greenwich village. The tour is well paced and the sample selection is generous and varied. I would highly recommend this tour. I would definitely do another tour next time I visit NYC. |

I took this food tour alone after finding it on line as I was planning a visit to NYC. Since I enjoyed it so much, I suggested it to friends on 2 different trips to the city. Each group trusted my judgement enough to try it, and they all loved the experience. The guides are energetic as well as knowledgable in their effort to share information about the food, culture and history of the area. It really is a great experience! |

We ate (surprised at how much!) fantastic food. Our guide was so good about weaving together the type of food that we were eating, with the history of the individual restaurants. She was energetic and her pride of the Village came thru in bright colors. The historical tour of the residential area was really captivating. Made us want to come back and eat dinner and see a movie at Cherry Lane. With her description, you could just visualize what was happening all those years ago.
We had already planned on coming back to the Village that nite for dinner, we decided to arrive early and walk around- felt very comfortable there after taking the earlier tour.
Bravo!! |

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, the guide Cindy was great, she had a great way of imparting the information and all the local people seemed to know her and like her too. We thought all the stops on the way were good with a variety of different foods to taste. The shop owners made us feel welcome, though they were trading normally and having a group of people enter your shop could make them feel cross, but it was all smiles and tasty samples, we particularly liked the Olive Oil shop, Faicco's and Amy's. Learning the history of Greenwich Village from Cindy was great too, we took her advice anf went to the Tenement Museum, another great tour. |

This was the second Food Tour we've taken and this time we brought along my sister-in-law. What a great way to learn about the City that we don't typically think of when you say "New York City" (we were stuck in mid-town whenever we visited!). We enjoyed learning about the culture, history and thriving family restaurants/food establishments that are probably NYC's best kept secrets. We enjoyed taste-testing foods from 7-8 places ... just enough to whet your appetite for more! We look forward to investigating even more restaurants in the area using the brochure we received. GV is an amazing neighborhood with tree-lined streets and beautiful architecture/brownstones. We really enjoyed meeting people in our group that came from all over the world ... a real adventure! Thanks to our tour guide, Cindy, for providing a fun and educational day ... even in the rain! We'll definitely be back again to take other tours with friends and family. The Food Tour is a "must see" for anyone visiting New York City! |
