The tour was absolutely amazing, the selected stops were wonderful. Our group had a wonderful time and days later everyone is still talking about what a great time we had. We are looking forward to another tour in the future and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a great activity in the city. It was an amazing time! Thanks!

i have taken a lot of group tours (all over the world) and Cindy was perfect. I thought that the walking trip was balanced between the history of NYC and the food shops. Great job.

Recommend the tour but with a different tour guide

In general, I would recommend this tour, however, with a different tour guide than the one we had. The direction clearly states that we should be at the meeting locating 15 minutes PRIOR to the tour. This means that the tour guide should have been there earlier than 15 minutes. Our guide showed up late (at noon) and started to yell at me for calling the office to confirm the location and time. He also said that the direction on the internet is not very clear. Is this true?? Did we waste our time and show up too early??? There was no apologies for being late. The simple I am sorry (and I was running late) would have been appropriate. His attitude was very unprofessional and almost degrading. His attitude and stupid jokes ruined that tour that would have been very pleasant otherwise.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York! Our tour guide, Mike, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, as he must have been a resident of Greenwich, which really added to the tour experience - it gave you a flavor or what it was like to live in Greenwich - past and present! The food we sampled was delicious, and with the great commentary from our guide made this tour well worth the time and money!! Thanks for a great experience!

enjoyable tour, knowledgeable guide, lots to eat

Tour guide Michael was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Greenwich Village and its culture, food, history, etc. We were well fed (I was stuffed) by the end of 3-hour tour and well informed about available food establishments and specialty food shops plus restaurants in the neighborhood. All of the food was good. However, there was too much pizza - 3 different pizza stops in 1 tour is excessive. There was too much fried food, pastry and dessert . We had no fresh vegetables or fish or fresh fruit which was kind of disappointing. All of those items should have been incorporated even if that required a slight increase in tour cost.

a fun way to learn about the Village

This was my birthday treat for my husband! We were very happy with the service of our guide- he was fun and warm and entertaining. He guided us through the Village with witty stories and interesting facts . It was fun walking through the small resturants, too bad there wasn't any samples there. The food samples from the specialty shops were very delicious! We were stuffed. (tip: don't overstuff yourself on the first Pizza stop!) I always find that being in the place where history was made and being made aware of it gives one great insights into why things are the way they are. throw in the food aspect and you've got yourself one heck of a great tour! The village is a facinating area and we were very happy with my special gift ! ciao'

Curt (our intrepid guidemeister) was friendly, civilized, extremely knowledgeable about food and local architecture but, more than anything, VERY enthusiastic about the neighborhood, the eats, the shops. The food we tasted was wonderful, we wanted to go back to the village and eat more of everything. Just a wonderful introduction to the neighborhood and a thoroughly great time led by a very amusing but very gentlemanly, upbeat, articulate guide.

Highly recommended tour due to the personality and vast knowledge of tour guide. Having the business owners visit with the tour group was a nice touch. Tour guide might not want to make assumption that everyone is from out-of-town. I didn't not enjoy the tasting consisting of deep-fried mushrooms as much.

Cindy was as enthusiastic & as knowledgable as one can imagine. The tour provided a fun, interesting, and deliciously intimate view of the Village. My friend from Paris and I both loved every minute.
