Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

My friends and I LOVED the tour with Amy she is wonderful !! We have told many friends about this tour and we will keep telling people. Thanks for a wonderful tour guide and a great time on this tour !!

The tour was a little long but definitley worth our while! We ate some amazing food and got great ideas as where to book a great dinner reservation! (which we did and the food was amazing!!!) If you like food, good laughs, and a little exersice, this tour is for you! We took this tour on an extremely hot NYC day and our tour guide gave us bottles and water from the beginning and let us stop to buy more or go to the restrooms whenever anyone needed to! It was a great way to see the Village!

This was the best walking tour I have taken so far! Our guide, Cindy, was so interesting and knowledgeable. The food tastings we had were delicious and provided a nice variety of samples. All of the shop owners we met were so friendly. I learned a lot about the architecture and the history of Greenwich Village. I highly recommend this tour; it exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Greenwich Village tour. Our guide, Rebecca, shared a lot of interesting facts with us on the area and we really learned a lot and had a lot of fun. The tastings were very good and we really enjoyed all the stops. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone, regardless of age, etc. The restaurant recommendations were wonderful - we went back later that night for dinner at Palma's and it was excellent.

Good food and good history of Greenich village.

We went on both the Greenwich Village and the Chelsea Markets food tours a couple of days apart, and thoroughly enjoyed both. The guides were informed and entertaining, the food was just right, and the groups were friendly. The tours made a nice break from the usual round of tourist activities. A big bonus was the information on local restaurants -- we revisited two or three in the week after the tours. We would thoroughly recommend either of these tours to anyone with any interest in food!

I booked this tour for a good friend of mine and her husband who were spending their honeymoon in New York on the recommendation of a native New Yorker. They loved this activity and said it was one of the most fun experiences they had whilst there, providing an insight into an area they might have struggled to come to grips with independantly. They went back later in the week to eat at a couple of the places they had visited on the tour and they certainly appreciated hearing about the history of Greenwich Village as well as sampling some culinary delights!

My mother & I took the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour along w/some friends of ours & we enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide Susan was very knowledgeable & it was a wonderful afternoon. Very informative, great food & we've decided to go back some day in the near future just so we can see all the shops in Greenwich Village. I would definitely recommend going if you've not gone before, but be sure to bring your best walking shoes!

1. Tour guide Cindy was wonderful. In addition to her warm and funny style, you realized that she was a vital part of the neighborhood as people on the street acknowledged and greeted her. 2. The time flew by quickly. It really could have been longer. 3. I'm glad we didn't take take out to "shop" because it's a waste of our time and her expertise. 4. Group size of 16 made it personalized -- any bigger would be hard to manage and feel impersonal. 5. More tastes of more things -- even if a little bitty mouthful.
