Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

We spent 3 days in New York seeing shows, visiting museums, eating, and otherwise enjoying what the city has to offer. The Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour was the highlight of our visit. Even though it was February and quite chilly outside, our guide Cindy kept us warm by stopping in the sun or getting us inside quickly. She was very informative and knew the answers to just about every question our group asked. The food was incredible at each and every stop and we especially liked the opportunity to stop briefly and have a drink at Chumley's (speakeasy bar)!

We LOVED the tour! Our guide (Cindy) could not have done a better job. We highly recommend this tour to visitors as well as native New Yorkers. Everyone will learn something new. We are looking forward to taking another Zerve tour the next time we visit.

We had a wonderful tour given by Susan Birnbaum. It was delightful and interesting. We had an enjoyable and fun time and the food tastings were excellent. We already have visited some of the food places and will keep returning.

Our guide, Susan, was quite knowledgeable; her presentation style was friendly and seasoned with a good sense of humor. Nice selection and variety of places we visited and sampled. Actually got enough food to eat to count for lunch (if you're not digging ditches). We were moved right along to meet the tour schedule, but I didn't feel rushed. A couple days later, we were able to take a long-time NYC resident to Chumley's, where he'd never been before and had always wanted to visit!

The tour was excellent. Normally there are 16 people but we were only six, so it was very familiar. It was easy to listen to Susan - our guide. She was brillant. The things we tasted were very delicious. And we get good tips were to eat. The same evening we went to two restaurants and pubs. We had fun and we're telling everybody in Germany! Thank you!

It was a great pleasure to stroll through the Village, sampling food the locals eat and learning something about the history of the area at the same time. It helped us to find where to eat and we returned to sample some of the places we'd been shown. Thanks a lot. A great idea for the beginning of your visit to New York.
