Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

We would highly recommend this tour to those interested. The food is wonderful, our tour guide was funny and highly knowledgeable about the area, and we enjoyed learning about this NY neighborhood in addition to the food tastings. Warning- these tours fill up fast.

There were seven in our group and we all enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide was exceptional and knew the area very well. Not only did we tast great food but we also got a history lesson of the area. All the restaurants we visited were very nice and really appreciated us being there. I would definitely do this tour again or one of their other neighborhoods. Don't miss out if you visit New York.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. The guide, Bert, was excellent. The tour was at a comfortable pace, we learned a lot about the area and the food was delicious.

Our tour guide, Heather, was great! History about the area and the different restaurants was awesome for someone visiting the area for the first time. Would highly recommend the tour for anyone looking to learn about the area and who wants to taste some of the amazing food choices around. Loved the booklet with reviews of different restaurants in the area and recommendations on what to get from the different places.

We always suspected that Greenwich Village would offer a feast for the eyes and stomach. Now we know that it is true. My son and I truly enjoyed our stroll through the past and present day village. It seemed at first that the portions were going to be a bit scimpy but after the 8th or 9th sample we were wondering whether we would be able to last until dessert, but holy cannoli, it was worth waiting for! We will definitely return to the village and recommend the tour to other visitors. A special thanks to Barri for making our tour so much fun!

Our tour guide was Bert, and he was so much fun. I appreciated his sincere love of food and descriptions at each food stop because they were detailed without being snooty. He REALLY likes his job and is very good at it! The food provided was high quality and way more food than I would ever eat for lunch. I wish I had not eaten breakfast! Excellent value for $50. Would definitely do this again and recommend to family visiting from out of town and to locals as well!

It was our first time at Greenwich Village and I thought the town was great. It has so many great places to eat and Marie did a great job explaining the culture and the description of the food. Though I was " lactose" and felt that I was able to eat "some" food I felt that a lot of the food choices had cheese ( cheese slices, cheesecake, riceball ( with lots of ricatto). My husband did eat my portion and enjoyed it very much. I thought it was nice to accomodate people that are vegetarians but it would've been nice if we would been able to pick our ' choices" ahead of time. Also, I liked that Marie took to us to many locations that were shaded ( it was in the 90's). The places that Marie recommended I went the next day and enjoyed the food very much!! I went back to Pizza Roma ( pizza with no cheese) and I got olive oil from Olive and Co. If I were to go back to New York I would stay in Greenwich village and felt it was the town I would enjoy the most. I would recommend the food and culture tour in Greenwich Village. Thank you!

We had been to NYC many times but had never experienced the Village. Heather, our tour guide, was so informative about the Village and we were surprised by the difference of the Times Square area and how quaint the Village was. Also, the food was very good and we hope to try some of the other food tours of NYC that are offered by your company.
