An excellent tour that was made even better by the knowledge of the tour guide Mike. His excellent, in-depth and personal local knowledge of the area, and the obvious respect given to him, not only by the owners of the shops and restaurants where we called, but by the locals of the area, gave validity to his delivery of his subject. This tour should not be altered in any way for to do so would spoil an already perfect product. The shops and restaurants that we visited were excellent giving a insight not only into the varied styles and variety of foods of New York, but also into the local history of the area. We shall certainly recommend it to all we know who visit New York and will most certainly book again on our next visit for a second helping. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Mike, long may he walk the streets of the village. We will always remember his tour as the opening up of a new part of New York to visit and enjoy on future visits. |

The host was terrific! Entertaining as well as informative. The food was delicious! Truly representative of the multicultural influence of NYC. Fresh samples were carefully prepared by the best of the best in each food category. Also, invaluable was the handout with the written notes on each establishment so they can be enjoyed more fully later. I would highly recommend this tour to others. |

I would highly recommend this tour for anyone. Even though it rained the entire time, I had a wonderful time and learned so much about the Village. The food we sampled was so wonderful we came back on our own to get more. |

Our tour guide, Michael, was terrific. Obviously he enjoys doing the tour and has tremendous knowledge regarding Greenwich Village. We enjoyed all of the stops evethough it was raining and we would definitely do another culinary tour someday, perhaps in another neighborhood, i.e. Little Italy or Chinatown. We would recommend this tour to our family and friends. |

The knowledge of the group leader was amazing. As a native New Yorker (who thinks she knows it all about New York) I was amazed at the breadth of Michael's knowledge. The places selected were fascinating - loaded with history and intrigue. I would whole heartedly recommend this tour to anyone interested in New York. |

It was a swell tour of the area. We enjoyed all of the historical facts as well as the culinary insights. It was very well organized and we returned to some of the shops to make some purchases. |

Not very informative, except for Chumney's....the guide was pleasant but spoke in generalities....wouldn't recommend it. |

The tour was very interesting. Our guide had many wonderful personal stories to share along with the historical/cultural part of the tour. Unfortunately it was raining and cold and the tour went 3 1/2 hours instead of 3 . If it had been a beautiful day this would have been fine. Also, because it was a Saturday, the stores were mobed and it was hard to fit all of us inside to enjoy the unique features. I would suggest you cut the number of participants down to 8. That way everyone can enjoy themselves inside as well as hear the guide outside. We did eat at one of the restaurants after the tour and it was wonderful!! I would recommend this tour to friends, however, I would tell them to go in the spring! I will definitely be back to explore this part of New York again! |

Mike, our guide was excellent, not only from a knowledge point, but from a personality, patience and humor point. The food stops were great. |
