Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Walking tour was educational with lots of detail about the area, famous people, family histories of long time business owners, etc. Businesses clearly benefit from the unpaid advertising too so it is a win win! Food delicious but our group had eaten breakfast first and should have refrained- too much good food with limited exercise to digest all the goodies- less emphasis on tasty but high fat cheese might help with faster digestion. Residential walking tour was great and led to our group of seven buying tickets to see Turning Page at the Cherry Lane Theatre later that night.. We did not know this theatre existed and it has led to other personal research about Geraldine Page.

This was my second food tour and I will be back next month for my third. I want to try them all!!! And you will too!!! The guides are amazing and more than happy to help you plan the rest of your day. Marie made us feel quite at home in Greenwich Village and the food was even yummier than I remembered.

I would recommend this tour to anyone, tourist or local. Our guide, Barry, was great very informative, funny, and really enjoyable. I enjoyed learning about Greenwich Village and the history and the architecture. And the food tastings were great, especially O and Company, Roccos, and Milk and Cookies. I cannot wait to come back to NYC and tour another area. .

We had a layover at the JFK airport and needed to find something to do with our time in NYC. I have done a previous tour with Zerve in Chicago and loved it, and have been wanting to do one with my husband. This one even topped my Chicago experience! Our tour guide could not have been better. He was part comedian, excellent host, educator, foodie rolled in to one. I have had good tour guides, but he was so incredible, the best guide you could ever hope for! He totally made it feel like a group of friends, he remembered people by name and included them in the conversation, even included interests and things about them. He made all of us feel like we were locals- even those from out of the country! The food was fabulous, we learned so much and were so sad to leave like the last 10 minutes we had to go early to catch a flight. This tour and especially this tour guide deserve top billing. We are cruisers and were on our way to a 12 day cruise in Europe and have paid for and taken many, many "tours", but this is one of the best. From this point forward, any trip I book, I will look for a Zerve food tasting tour!

Curt was a great tour guide. He was enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable about food, Greenwich Village and the history of New York. He included everyone in his talks, using names of everyone in the group and often including where we came from. We don't like being part of big tour groups so appreciated the smaller group for this tour. While the food we tasted was very good, I think we enjoyed touring the neighborhood and hearing bits and pieces of history and info about properties the most. I also learned that everything I have been doing with olive oil is wrong and I need to clean up my act. We had purchased the New York Pass and a 4 hour walking food tour was included with it. After doing some online searching we thought your Greenwich walking food tour sounded more like what we wanted and it turned out to be well worth the price. Curt made the entire tour fun and the time passed quickly. I would highly recommend this tour and will also be doing a positive review about it on Trip Advisor.

Our guide, Kurt, was funny, energetic, informed and helpful beyond the tour. He was also very respectful of shop owner/workers, other pedestrians and drivers. This is second time I took same tour as I loved the one my daughter took me on so had to take my husband.

The tour was great! It is a must while visiting NYC. All the food was exceptional and so much that I couldn't eat all of it. Again, lots of fun!

This was one of the best things I did on my whole holiday! For your money you get a load of delicious food (enough to leave you wondering if you want dinner at all), an interesting tour of the neighborhood (one of my favourites in NYC), a leaflet containing a whole list of amazingly delicious places you can eat and several vouchers. We ended up eating almost exclusively in Greenwich village for the rest of the holiday, and everything we tried was exceptionally good. Our tourguide Cindy was fantastic- hilarious and very well informed. I will be recommending this to anyone who goes to NYC!

We had a lovely day in Greenwich Village. The food was excellent and varied. The tour of the neighbourhood was informative and entertaining. It was just the right mix of eating and walking. The tour guide Barry (sp?) was also very good at her job. Thanks!!
