| We definitely enjoyed our food tour of Greenich village with an animated tour guide. The food we tasted was very good and the tour entertained us of more than we would've gotten from a guidebook. It was definitely do-able for those who might be "fitness" challenged and it seemed we covered a good bit of the West village. Definitely recommended! |

| I moved to NYC six months ago and took my parents on this tour during their first visit to see me and they absolutely loved it. It's so much better - and more insider-ish - than most of the big-box NYC tours to the big landmarks they've already seen on previous trips to the city.
I took this tour about a year ago, and I have to say it was better the first time. My first guide was a native New Yorker, someone who really understood and could explain the flavor of the city. The tour guide on this trip was from New Mexico, and while clearly versed in her subjects, she just didn't have the history and grit of the previous one.
The other difference between this and my previous tour was the amount of time the guide spent going on and on about the restaurants - which I think she used to make up for her lack of native knowledge. I realize this is a food tour, but it felt very much like a walking advertisement for Greenwich Village restaurants most of the time. I prefer a little more history and more of an explanation of what it's like to live in New York and less time hearing about "amazing" steaks and "amazing" drinks at this or that restaurant.
The guide, though, was very friendly and engaging and from a visitor's point of view, this is a fantastic way to see the city. I will definitely sign up for this tour - and others like it - when we have more out of town guests. |

| Everything about this tour was splendid - the location, the tour-guide and of course the very food we are most interested in (is that just us?). Anywho the guide was expremely knowledgable and presented us with a concice overview of the area as well as introducting, and permiting (obviously!) us to sample, some of the local food. Overall an excellent experience - highly enjoyed and very recommended. |

| It was a great experience. It was just not about the food, but a lot about the village-- the history as well as architecture. Barri our guide was excellent. I have travelled to many places but this was a great walking and eating tour. I think anyone who comes to NY should do this tour. THANKS BARRI! |

| I read about the tour in a NYTimes travel article, and thought it would be a good way to see a part of the city that we otherwise might not make it to on our visit. My husband and I both enjoyed it - especially the food. The pizza(s), cheese, and cookies were favorites. I hope heaven smells like Murray's Cheese shop. I also enjoyed learning about other restaurants in the neighborhood - good ideas of places to visit on another trip.
While I appreciated the culture part of the tour, it lasted about an hour too long. We came back to the village later in the weekend with friends and repeated it in about 15 minutes.
Overall it is definitely worth it, and I would recommend it to friends and family. |

| This tour gives you not only the tastes of the village, but points out many shoppes and restaurants /bistros to explore on your own. Also it gives you the history of the area, how it started and developed, as well as the Village's part in the growth of the American Cultural Arts. It's a glimpse of the old city neighborhoods from the sights and sounds of the narrow streets and the architectural charm, to the many smells and tastes of the world's cuisines. Living in New Jersey I have had the opportunity to see NYC in many ways, but this trip is at the top of my list for a Big Apple Experience. |
