| I knew little about the tour before it started, other than that it was highly recommended from a friend. 8 tastings in 3 hours sounded like a lot but the timing was perfectly spaced out and by the time we reached each destination I was anxious to try what was being tasted! It was a well thought out mix of sweet and savory and I do not have one complaint about the food we tasted!!
I left the tour not only satisfied with the food I had just experienced, but also with a list of 20+ restaurants I am now dying to try. Living in downtown Manhattan, I sometimes feel silly partaking in "touristy" attractions, however, I did this with my Father for his birthday and we both learned so much about the area and were very impressed with how it was all organized!!
I HIGHLY recommend this to any and every one..no matter where you are from or how well you think you know Greenwich Village! I will be definitely doing this again in the future! Thank you for a wonderful Sunday afternoon! |

| We enjoyed the food tasting tour of the Village. The food tasted was delicious and varied. Portions were generous so we felt quite full afterwards. Tips on the restaurants to try in the area were particularly helpful. We ate at Palma during our stay on the recommendation of the tour guide - fantastic Italian dishes and non pretentious. |

| A wonderful afternoon with Marie, who was warm, professional, and knowledgeable. The restaurants and shops were charming and the staff welcoming. My son and his fiancee were tickled to be able to go back to San Diego with bragging rights - "There's a delightful cheese shop near the mother-of-all-olive-oil shops in the Village...."
I will definitely bring future visitors on this and other Verve tours. |

| We live in Alabama, had never been to Greenwich Village and wanted to understand a little bit about the culture and lifestyle of the people who lived there. The fact that there was food involved was an added plus.
Our goal was achieved as we gained an appreciation of the village, and the "mom and pop" establishments we visited, that was not possible otherwise. Our tour guide provided a combination of history, humor and his perspective of the area and, as a result, the three hours went by very quickly.
The other people on this tour included a mixture of locals from the New York area as well as people from as far away as Texas.
Oh, by the way, the food was excellent.
The tour left us wanting to come back and visit Greenwich village and frequent some of the establishments on our next visit. In fact, we have been to the websites of some of the merchants and plan to do some on-line ordering. |

| My friend and I thought the tour was fantastic. To begin, the food was delicious! Mike did an excellent job explaining the history of the foods we tasted and Greenwich Village as a whole! The tour is the perfect pace, covers the perfect amount of time/distance, and gives an indepth explanation of what makes Greenwich Village so special. You will not have the same experience if you simply walk around by yourself. The tour gives you an insider's perspective and provides details you otherwise would not know. Highly recommended!!! |

| This was the first time I have visited New York as a tourist. I was very pleased with the tour. Our guide, Heather, provided my wife and I with insights into the history of the area and I particulary enjoyed strolling through some of the residential neighborhoods. Heather's enthusiasm for the city was apparent and she made us feel very welcome. The food was very good and we had a chance to sample some new cheeses and ethnic foods. We plan to visit New York again soon and we will definitely take another tour. I have an entirely new appreciation for the city. |

| The walking tour was excellent. I had read from the reviews the lunch afterwards is not necessary. The food was great and so was the tour guide.
I would definintely recommend the tour. |

| Cindy is wonderful! Our group of 8 loved her sense of humor, timing and information. Couldn't of had a better guide. We were so glad we'd chosen this event and enjoyed seeing Greenich, in addition to sampling a variety of great foods. We'll definitely be back to eat in the area on our own during our next NYC visit.
This tour was one of the highlights of the trip for us. |

| I have taken this tour a second time and brought back others to eat in the restaurants recommended.I have been on the Chelsea market tour as well and highly recommend that as well.
I hope that new neighborhoods will be added even in other boroughs. This is a great way to spend an afternoon in the city and a good value for an expensive city. |
