| A great sample of foods mixed with a little history and little known facts. The three hours will fly. This was my fourth time on the tour and each time is as much fun as the first. Highly recommended. |

| What a tour! Amazing gems in the city that I would otherwise never find. I will be sure to visit these restaurants and shops during future visits to NY! I loved the history lessons, too. Our guide Cindy was a kick! We even spotted a celebrity on the sidewalk.
We purchased several cheeses and meats from Murray's (all consumed swiftly and with much lip smacking and salivating). The olive oil and balsamic from O & Co. were outstanding! The basil infused olive oil, lemon infused oil and cherry balsamic were amazing! The Thai food was delicious - what dumplings! And the pizza - well, what else can you say about NY pizza?
I would like to tour other parts of the city as a 'foodie.' The charming part is that these inexpensive and delightful tours help introduce new customers to these Mom & Pop shops and continue to breathe new life into Greenwich and Chelsea. So much to see and taste that 3 hours was not enough time. We could have shopped and snacked all day.
Thanks for the education! |

| My adult daughters and I flew to CT to visit my cousin. We all took the train into NYC on Friday, July 18th. We had signed up for a three hour food tour and had no idea what to expect. We met our guide, Barry, and the group, in front of Murray's Cheese Shop in Greenwich Village. The tour started right on time and lasted just over the three hours designated on the e-ticket. We had a fantastic time and learned so much, not only about the food, but about the history of this "village." Barry was very thorough and answered everyone's questions with ease. One person in the group could not eat gluton products, and Barry always provided an alternative which was, I believe, very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend it to all foodies and history buffs. Actually any NYC visitor would love this tour! |

| First impressions last a life time . . . on our next visit to NYC, my boyfriend and I will most definitely be participating in one of the other tours given by Food Tours of New York. We were very impressed by the tour, the guide and Greenwich Village!
One definitely gets their monies worth from this tour. The tastings were more than satisfactory (you'll be pleasantly surprised by how satiated you are by the end of the tour!). The word 'tastings' may give one the impression of tiny portions which barely fill the tummy . . . not so with these tastings. The tastings ranged from various cultural specialities such as pizzas and dumplings to desserts and charcuterie and cheeses; the tasting venues all-in-all were either world renowned, Zagat rated or loved by local NYersand were spread out nicely so one never got too full, yet by the end of the tour we were completely satiated and didn't have to eat again until dinner.
More importantly is the quality of the tour - the tour commenced at the indicated time and moved along at a comfortable pace; the guide welcomed questions and accomodated for people (like myself) who had dietary restrictions/allergies; and the business owners were gracious in allowing a large group, such as ours, to come on into their small spaces and see what the offered; the tour is a great balance of the architectural, neighbourhood and food history of Greenwich Village. This tour gives an excellent overview of the neighbourhood and let's you in on a few of the hidden gems that you would't otherwise be privy too.
Overall we gave this experience an A+.
Thanks to Barri, our wonderful tour guide!
Sincerely,

| Marie was the best tour guide. We were given a very imformative tour and tasted the best food. However, Marie was so enthusiastic in her explanations, history and description of the area, restaurants and food, that it added so much more to the tour.
I would highly recommend the tour. |

| My friend and I very much enjoyed the food tour - it gave us a real insight into the area, both it's food and history. It was really helpful to know where to get good food and produce, as we were staying in the area. Later I went back and had dinner at two of the recommended restaurants (Palma and Le Gigot, both in Cornelia St) and the dinners and service at both were excellent. Melbourne, where we are from, is the mutlicultural and artisan food capital of Australia, so we pride ourselves on knowing all about the best. We had high expectations of Greenwich Village and it more than lived up to them, and we would not have known where to go without the tour. :) |
