We thoroughly enjoyed the food tasting tour. This was my 3rd time and I would go again. I lost count of how many places we ate. We started out with pizza slices and ended up with cannolis (sp?) with cookies, cheeses, rice balls, meats and LOTS of other food in between. Amy, our tour guiide was well versed on Village life: where to dine, what to order, how they make it, etc. . She imparted insider knowledge on the area as we walked. And we had a celebrity sighting! Sign up now - its well worth the price.

There were seven in our group and we all enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide was exceptional and knew the area very well. Not only did we tast great food but we also got a history lesson of the area. All the restaurants we visited were very nice and really appreciated us being there. I would definitely do this tour again or one of their other neighborhoods. Don't miss out if you visit New York.

Upon our arrival, we were enthusiastically greeted by Curt, our tour guide. In he few minutes, he knew our names & where we were from. Throughout the entire tour he addressed our group of 14 by name. Amazing! His knowledge of Greenwich Village and NYC was incredible. The way he told the story & intertwined everything was amazing. A great sense of humor, so enthusiastic and entertaining. We certainly got our monies worth...and then some. We did this tour on a Sunday and there were plenty of shops & restaurants to visit. We never stopped eating. It began with pizza & ended with a cannoli. Delicious! Curt served us our food with style and never stopped talking...always engaging. Thank you Curt! A MUST DO tour when visiting NYC.

This tour was led by Curt -- a wonderful guide who was fun and very informative. Our group visited several places for snacks (cheese, pizza, olive oil and cannoli) and sat down for wonderful mac and cheese. We also heard about the history of the neighborhood and visited a local off-Broadway theatre. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide, Heather, was great! History about the area and the different restaurants was awesome for someone visiting the area for the first time. Would highly recommend the tour for anyone looking to learn about the area and who wants to taste some of the amazing food choices around. Loved the booklet with reviews of different restaurants in the area and recommendations on what to get from the different places.

We always suspected that Greenwich Village would offer a feast for the eyes and stomach. Now we know that it is true. My son and I truly enjoyed our stroll through the past and present day village. It seemed at first that the portions were going to be a bit scimpy but after the 8th or 9th sample we were wondering whether we would be able to last until dessert, but holy cannoli, it was worth waiting for! We will definitely return to the village and recommend the tour to other visitors. A special thanks to Barri for making our tour so much fun!

Besides the excellent food tastings, it was wonderful to learn something about the area, its culture, its inhabitants. Our guide was well informed and shared information so enthusiastically. She obviously enjoys conducting the tours. This tour gave me a nice snapshot of Greenwich Village that I would not have gotten any other way. Now I know what cannoli is and I love it!

Our tour guide (Kerianne ?) met us promptly at our designated place. The tour mainly stayed around Bleecher Street and included 9 tastings : a pizza slice, a chocolate cookie, a teeny cannoli, olive oil and bread, a 3 cheese sampler, 2 types of meat products , a small cauliflower dish, and a dish with three small appetizers. Though it was 90 degrees the day we went, our guide was good about trying to keep us in the shade even when we ate on the sidewalk (which we did for 5 out of the 9 places), so it was not too bad temperature-wise. Our guide was friendly and informative and the tour matched its write-up, but I felt what was done could have been done in 2 hours, not 3+. Some of the stuff we did seemed like filler...to kill time while the earlier tour group was finishing before we went on to our next tasting. The guide talked A LOT about real estate and what things cost, and I guess some people might find that interesting. I would prefer a tour that was more a pure food talk. I know, I know : the on-line description said, "Learn about the history, culture, architecture and local entertainment offerings that make Greenwich Village so unique from the rest of New York City. " I'm just saying that i wish there was something more about the food than all this other stuff...which I have seen before on walking tours that were JUST about culture and history, etc. So, for someone who wants it all in one package, this is a cute tour that gives a TASTE of food and a skosh of culture/history. For people who want a food focus, this really isn't it.
