Heather was fun and easy-going. She knew a lot, was quippy and honest and even handled a free-loader tag-along with class. Restaurants were great, all food was fabulously tasty though I would have liked to try non-italian food in the area maybe on cornelius street. Will do another burough food tour next time we're in nyc. |

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour through Greenwich Village. Bert was an amazing guide, not only about the food but also the Village in general. We would definitely recommend the tour to anyone, especially if Bert is the guide. |

Greenwich Village Food Tour

We took this tour on Memorial Day Holiday Monday, this type of tour was a new experience for us but we liked the combination of food and learning about the Greenwich village area. We are both (couple) very well travelled but I had not been to New York before, although my husband has previously lived in the US. Our group of 16 consisted of both local and international tourists. We found the tour well organised and interesting to hear about the history of the area. You mostly eat on the street and it should be noted these are tastings not meals so portions are not large. Don't skip breakfast or you will be hungry.
You don't actually walk very far only quite a small area of Greenwich is covered in the 3 hours.
On the positive side you do receive some good tips on where to eat later if you have the time and opportunity.
On the negative side the guide was a little too forward in asking for tips.
Overall I rated this a good tour but not an amazing tour - my background is 25 years in the travel & toursim industry. |

The Greenwich tour was wonderful and made us discover several lovely places that we now want to come back to. Our guide Marie was well versed in the neighborhood's knowledge and fun facts.
I have used the Foods of NYC tour to learn about the city and introduce out-of-town friends to the wonderful area we leave in.
This was the 4th tour I attended and can't wait to add to my collection! |

Sephra was a wonderful tour guide! It should be billed as a food tour with a good bit of comedy thrown in. I would take a tour with her again anytime, even one titled "Tour of the Most Boring Bedroom Communities of New Jersey".
In terms of the food sampled, it was uniformly delicious. I especially liked the inclusion of a restaurant called "Home". I would have a liked some more information on what criteria was used to pick these places - did the tour company send food tasters out and pick the best? Were they picked for their story/history? Or just places that cut the company a good deal? |

I would love to recommend this amazing NY experience. Sure you can go see the typical Times Square, Statue of Liberty, etc., but this walking tour takes you through the REAL NY that most people don't get to see. Off the beaten-path, a look at some of the best places to truly eat at very reasonable prices. My wife and I will be taking other food tours from this company on our way back. Also, the guide was really great, made the experience fun as well as informative without boring you one bit. A+ |

Sephra was our guide - entertaining, light, fun - highly enjoyed her company. Food was good, not amazing but a great way to get familiar and comfortable with the area. More than enough food for lunch. A great value overall. |

Heater was so informative and full of life and fun. This is our second food tour with you and we have told our friends it is a must do in New York. We will be back next Memorial Day for tour number 3. |
