FLEXIBLE: Want to buy tickets for someone else, but don't know when they can attend? Purchase a gift certificate, which allows the recipient to choose a date and time that work for them. No need to book flights, hotels, or travel dates.
NO EXPIRATION: Our gift certificates NEVER expire (ever).
DELIVERY: During your purchase, you will choose whether to automatically email the gift certificate to the recipient, or whether you will print and deliver it to them.
PRICE DIFFERENCE: In 2014, we are raising our standard tour price to $52.00/ ticket. If you purchase a gift certificate for $49.00 in 2013, it can be redeemed for a $52.00 tour ticket at NO extra cost to the recipient at any time. In fact, if you purchased a gift certificate 5 years ago at $42.00, that gift certificate is ALSO still good for that same tour today, regardless of the price change.
TRANSFERABILITY: Gift certificates can be redeemed for any tour that is the same price. For example, a gift certificate for the Original Greenwich Village tour can be redeemed for a Chelsea Marketing/Meatpacking, Central Village, or Nolita tour.
Since 1999, Foods of New York Tours has been giving food tasting and cultural walking tours through New York City's most delicious and historic neighborhoods.
We provide a non-touristy experience so you feel like a native New Yorker! Each tour includes food tastings from specialty food shops, ethnic eateries, and one local restaurant as well as an off-the-beaten-path glimpse of "Life in New York City"— the history, culture, architecture, entertainment offerings.
Our adventure began over 25 years ago, when we started exploring the diverse ethnic foods and offbeat musical venues within Greenwich Village and SoHo. We soon found the perfect slice of thin crust pizza, a traditional Turkish eatery, the best fresh-filled cannoli, and a tiny subterranean jazz club. From that point on, we knew that we had to share our findings with other people that would appreciate it.
Let us take you on a three-hour journey that introduces you to where the locals go while opening you up to a whole new world of food, history, and culture!
