Tasty and neighbourly...

We had a truly great 3 hours with our tour guide Annie. She was knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants we visited. The food was fabulous...we actually returned to one of them the next night for dinner. We would highly recommend this tour. It felt like we were out for a walk with a "local" friend!

Excellent time w/ tour guide Burt on Nolita tour

Tour guide Burt was awesome & showed the group a great overview of Nolita. He shared lots of fun, interesting history of the neighborhood as well as enthusiastically presented food information at the various restaurants. He knows some of the 'characters' in the 'hood' and they all smile when he shows up! Interesting neighborhood, terrific restaurants, great tour guide--lots of fun!

My 14 yr old daughter and I took the tour with the very delightful and charming Burt as our guide. Not only did we get to sample some delicious food, Burt pointed out some interesting landmarks and history of the neighborhood that we would have never known to look for. I would definitely do the tour again and could only hope that we would get the pleasure of having Burt as our guide.

Some friends recommended doing a food tour. They knew we loved good food, seeing new places, and learning a bit about the area. Annie was our tour guide and she did a fabulous job!!! She knew the area very well and provided a five star experience. All the restaurants we visited provided delicious food, service, and a welcoming approach that made it easy, fun, and worth every penny we paid for the tour. Our group of friends felt the 3 hour tour was just the right amount of time and went by so quickly. We are already talking with more friends about doing another tour in the fall and will do our best to take all the tours over the next year. If you are a foodie, this is a must do NYC event!!!

Fantastic Food Tour
Sat, Jun 28  10:45 AM nweinstein Female 30-39 Local Couple on a Date
The tour visited several top notch restaurants, and served surprisingly generous portions (but not so much that I couldn't enjoy the next stop!). I learned a lot about the neighborhood and visited gems that I would never have known about. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area (I was especially impressed that she knew the answers to every question people asked, even some that seemed off-topic or obscure), amazingly remembered all 15 of our names for the full 3 hours, and was very sweet--thanks Annie! I'd definitely go on a tour of another neighborhood.

After hearing about this tour from a coworker, I decided to try it out as a surprise for my boyfriend's 30th birthday outing in the city. Let me just say that everything was great! Annie our guide was superb. She was very knowledgeable without being droll. She had a fun quirkiness to her that is endearing and lovable. The work put into ensuring the quality of the places we went to was very evident. Each stop was unique and great in their own fields. From Italian to French to Mexican, the diversity was fun. I don't normally get to explore through the neighborhoods in the city. I usually stay Midtown, the familiar sites of Times Square and Central Park, so this was a treat and a learning experience for myself as well. I would do it again, even going to the same places! Even my boyfriend said he'd like to go back to visit the other recommended spots with Annie, not just as a guide, but as a friend! I highly recommend this tour for any and everyone! Great job! And thank you Annie!!

Surpassed Expectations

As a local familiar with the neighborhood, I wasn't expecting to learn so much and have such a great experience. I simply expected to taste great food. I was impressed by the wealth of historical/cultural information given to us by our guide, and also thoroughly impressed with our guide in general. She was warm, super attentive, friendly and talented, and her enthusiasm for the restaurants/neighborhood was infectious. I loved that we were able to enter and sit in a few of the restaurants, although I do wish more of the restaurants featured a significant 'dish' like Emporio's pizza, rather than small bite-size appetizer items. I loved seeing the pizza at Emporio being prepared- it really felt like an insider's tour. I had thought the 3 hours would be long, but they flew by! It was a great tour and I'd recommend it to both locals and tourists alike.
