Annie was amazing and her passion for the village was palpable . I learnt so much and had so much fun. The food was impressive and Annie's considerable knowledge was communicated at the perfect pitch... She even sang to us at the end!

Nolita Tour does not disappoint

Our second Food of NY Tour; loved it. Went Sunday morning; streets were quiet so the group could congregate with guide without having to be too cognizant of local traffic. Stops were varied in atmosphere and portions were ample and tasty. Tour guide was Annie and she was a sheer delight. It's a great way to get to know the different neighborhoods. We are native NYers and its fun to find out little tidbits of each neighborhood. Will definitely continue tasting our way through the remaining neighborhoods..

Great way to spend a morning

This was our second food tour with Food Tours of New York. They are well planned and flow seamlessly. The food is very good and the portions are generous. You don't leave hungry. It's a great way to sample different cuisines, but mostly it's a way to sample different atmospheres and to get a flavor for the evolution of a neighborhood - from a food and broader historical perspective. Tour guide (Burt) was excellent and makes you feel like a VIP in each place you go into. You never feel rushed. It's a fun way to spend time with friends or family. Group size of 16 is just right to either spend time chatting with others, or not. The Nolita tour specifically is a good mix of seated tastings, versus sidewalk ones, with a nice walk in the middle with fun non-food stops.

Amazing tour with an amazing tour guide (ANNIE)
Fri, Aug 1  11:45 AM mwolford98 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our tour went to really nice restaurants and at each Location you were given a dish of one of the chosen foods or desserts from that establishment to try. Along with great food came an attention keeper of a guide by the name of ANNIE who not only left you with a lot of historical information but also left you feeling as though you just made a new friend in her without even much effort on your part. She's extremely warm, funny and outgoing and will not only leave you with a full tummy but also a much warmer heart. Be sure to requests her if you are able.

My husband and I recently went on this food tour and loved it! This was the secind tour we did with the NY Food Company in a week and we were once again very happy with the experience. Annie (our guide) was friendly, cheeful and informative not only about the eateries we visited but also about the area. The tour was one of our favorite things to do in NY.

This tour was different than the Chelsea Markwt tour but equally amazing. The architecture alone is worth it. However, the food is amazing! Plus , Anny- our guide, told stories about the people who own the restaurants and stores. It is great! Well worth the money and the time!

We became part of the neighborhood

Our tour guide, Bert, was wonderful about introducing us to each other and calling us each by name so we became comfortable, like a mini-family that enjoys breaking bread together. Bert wove a fantastic tale of history, culture, and even current gossip that kept us engaged and conversing throughout the tour. We appreciated that he was knowledgeable, not only about the food-related establishments, but brought us to other points of interest (the barber shop, the Elizabeth St. garden, St. Patrick's cathedral, Public restaurant...) so we could soak up the flavor and charm of these two unique neighborhoods and feel how they combine. The food was amazing on this tour, and Bert's personable way of relating to us made it all the more enjoyable. When we returned to NoLita the following day, it felt very familiar and welcoming, like coming home.

We chose the Nolita area for our Foods of New York Walking tour. Our guide was Annie. Both the food stops and Annie's guide were a 10+. I've been on walking tours in other cities and have been pleased with them, but Annie made this tour a stand-out. She clearly enjoys her work, has done her research to provide interesting historical perspective and was a pleasure. She even ended with a song! The food stops were top notch as well. This is the second tour I've taken with friends with Foods of New York. Both were excellent. Its one of my most favorite ways to pass time in NYC.

Fun Great Culture Tour

I heard about the culture tours a few years ago from some friends who were visiting NYC and raved about it. A very good friend who lives in Dallas has maintained an apartment in NY and asked me to come to NYC. I told her about the tour and we both totally enjoyed it. Burt was an excellent guide. His enthusiasm and sharing of interesting information and facts made it evident that he loves what he does! The next time I get to NYC, I will most definitely select another tour.
