The best tour ever. Whatever you do in New York, make sure this is one of them. Simply unbelievable and fantastic value for money. The tour guide Annie is incredible, knowledgeable and likeable. It is not just the amazing food you get to eat, but the way Annie molds the district's food into the history of the region, including anecdotes and secrets of New York. You couldn't spend a better 4 hours in New York.

Lovely cupcakes started the tour off, followed by interesting history and good food, presented, knowingly and enthusiastically, by our guide Annie Veit, from Sweden

We were lucky to be there on a perfect day, with a great bunch of people and a most enthusiastic & knowledgeable host. The food tastings were excellent, the history provided of the area & eateries was first class & the host, Annie was warm, funny & obviously really enjoys her job, which made for a great time for all. We would recommend this tour as a must do for anyone visiting New York.

This was my FOURTH Foods of New York Tour........
Sun, Apr 7, 13   10:45 AM funseeker190 Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
....and each one is better then the one before! Annie set the tone fast and furious......great insights, then an awesome chocolate cupcake. As much as I love the food comments, it is the history and architecture insights that really kept me interested. The most heard phrase the day I was there? "I didnt know that! " I cannot wait until my NEXT trip to NYC to try out the restaurants I learned about on this tour. Great tour guide, Great food, Great information.....Who could ask for anything more? LUCE, Philadelphia

Foods of NY does it again! Anny was amazing...

I went on this tour with my mom. Both of us are Foods of NY veterans, and have been trying to plan taking this tour together for ages. We finally made it, and the anticipation was well worth it! When I go on a Foods of NY tour, I always have very high expectations, so I know that there is the risk of a letdown. Noooo letdown here. =) Anny was an incredible tour guide, as good as any I have ever had. She is gracious, friendly, entertaining, intresting, warm, caring, super-informative...just awesome. The food was very delicious, but I have to say, I may have enjoyed the venues visited (history, info, recommendations, interiors, visits from the owners/staff) and the general history of the neighborhood even more. One cool thing about going on a Foods of NY tour as a local is that the tour always reminds me how diverse and fascinating the city is, and why I love it so much! I won't go into detail about the stops because I don't want to ruin any surprises for people who will be going. All I can say is, if you're on the fence about doing this tour...DO IT! You won't regret it! Kudos to Anny and Foods of NY for a job incredibly well done.

A great way to get to know a neighbourhood

This was an excellent tour not only of restaurants in the area but also the history of the area and some of its buildings. The restaurants selected were varied and each one was unique in a certain way. All of them I would revisit to dine. Our guide was superb and knew everyone by name after the first 10 minutes. We also met some interesting people in our group. A great way to get to know a neighbourhood in New York.

Annie is an energetic, fun and knowledgeable guide who makes this great food tour even better. The food is of excellent quality and we ended up back at one of the restaurants later in our trip. The neighbourhood history is rich and I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys great culture and has an interest in high quality food and Manhattan history.
