Taste mouthwatering eats from undiscovered spots in the cozy corners of Nolita, where old-world charm meets a youthful, downtown vibe.

Best Food Tours in NYC

I have taken every Food Tour that Food Tours of New York provides...and in most cases.each food tour more than once.... Each time without exception, the tours have been wonderful and I learn more about the city and its gastronomical delights. The guides are all extremely personable and knowledgeable of the area and its history, and the nibbles along the way are wonderful and in most cases, places that you wouldnt go to on your own because you wouldnt know that they are even there but want to revisit after the tour. I have tried food tours from a few other companies in NYC but found them lacking in comparison. In January of each year, I come to NYC with 8 women (we have been doing this for 13 years now)...we go to plays, shop and always take a food tour. This January we did the NOHO tour with Annie. She was a delght and I enjoyed it so much that I brought my sweetie back in April. We were fortunate to have Annie again...and the tour was a wonderful as I remembered it to be the first time. She ended the tour with a song...I have to say that all of the tour guides (though she is the only one who sang to us as a farewell) are exceptional. I have sent many friends to this company and many strangers as well. I would not hesitate to recommend FTOFNY to anyone visiting NYC...and even those who live there but never wonder outside of their neighborhood. Great value and 3 of the most enjoyable hours you will ever spend getting feed and entertained.

Our group of 6 college friends LOVED this tour, starting with our fun, friendly, and knowledgeable tour guide, Anny. All the food was great and she did a wonderful job of sharing her passion for both food and local history in this very informative tour. I would highly receommend this tour for anyone who wants to get away from the touristy side of New York and get a flavor for the diverse neighborhoods that are the fabric of the city.

Like all FONY tours, this one was full of good food, interesting historical info, and a pleasant and entertaining guide. The small group of only 11 people was quite congenial, and Annie impressed everyone with her ability to remember everyone's names and where we were from. The food selections were tasty and plentiful. This was our 4th tour with FONY and we would highly recommend it!

The highlight of our NYC trip!

We are a family of five, with kids ranging in age from 15 to 8. Everyone absolutely loved the tour, and we will definitely do other tours on our next trip. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. We definitely learned of restaurants and dishes that we would not have otherwise experienced. We also now have a great list of restaurants to visit when we return. The pace of the tour was perfect, and there were sufficient breaks to rest and take care of personal needs. These tours are an amazing combination of far-beyond-average food, and an in-depth look at the area being explored. We learned so much about the neighborhood and left feeling better connected to the city. LOVED IT!

This tour was the best thing we did in NYC!!

This was my second food tour with this group in NYC. They were both great, very interesting, fun and great food. The best thing is that you get to really slow down and get to know a part of the city so much better than if you were just walking around on your own. I know some great places to go back and dine at . I want to participate in another tour soon! Our guide was just fabulous and she really made the tour come alive!

great storytelling, great food sampling

We had a fun time with wonderful tour guide Annie. She personalized the tour for each participant., so much so that the youngest on the tour - an 8-year old girl - to the oldest - a 71-year old man - all agreed that they liked "everything" about the tour. Annie was very knowledgeable. I grew up in Brooklyn and have read much about the history of the areas we toured but learned new facts and definitely, new stories. We returned for dinner with friends to one of the restaurants we visited.

Our favourite food tour yet!

I've been on three of the tours offered by Foods of NY. All were great, but the Nolita/NoHo one was especially good. Anny, our tour guide, was enthusiastic about the restaurants and knowledgeable about the neighborhood. Ricotta on toad at The Smile and pizza at Emporio were our favourites! We learned a lot, met some nice people and had a really pleasant time. It was just the right pace, too.
