I had such a great time on this tour. The food was VERY plentiful as well as delicious. You defenitely need to come hungry, and you will leave with a FULL belly. I loved all the stories of all the history of the neighbourhood. The best part of the tour was Anny our guide. She was SOOO enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Loved every minute of this tour. I have done 3 different tours with this company and each tour was incredible!

The best way to discover an area

We had a fabulous trip - our guide was brilliant - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She gave us such an insight into the local area as well as introducing us to fabulous food and restaurants! We had done the Greenwich area before and this was equally brilliant - wholly recommended

Given as an Christmas gift to my foodie husband from my 21 year old daughter and I - we couldn't have enjoyed it more! Our guide Anny was informative, friendly and a genuine pleasure. The food experience was diverse, delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. Other than the rain, which no one can control, we can't wait to try another tour. The activity was just what it promised to be...

The food was good -- the tour even better.

We thought the food would be lovely for an annual grown-up cousins gathering in the city -- and, indeed, the food was even better than we'd hoped. What we weren't expecting was how great Anny, our guide, would be. She kept the tour light, fun and interesting for a bunch of semi-locals who didn't realize how much we'd learn about the neighborhood, non-food hot-spots a tucked away secrets of Little Italy. It was a few hours VERY well spent... and followed up by some necessary shopping and a good deal of unnecessary drinking while we were all sans kids. Thanks, Foods of New York, for a great start to the holiday weekend -- and especially you, Anny!

Annie is a delightful person who made our tour so perfect. The food was good, but it is the guide who makes it all worthwhile.

ANOTHER wonderful Foods of NY tour

This is my 5th tour with Foods of NY and I have never been disappointed. This one was especially enjoyable due to Anny's lovely personality, enthusiasm, and energy. She was full of interesting anecdotes about the neighborhood and her love of NY was obvious. This was a great neighborhood to explore and Anny was a wonderful guide. At every stop, you could tell the vendors knew her and were happy to see her. She knew everyone's name by the time we left the initial meeting place and we had such a nice group of people that I was sorry to see the tour end. My friend had never been to NY while I had visited several times. We both enjoyed all the tastings, especially the one at Emprorio Restaurant. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we went to Emporio for dinner the following evening. I would highly recommend any of the Foods of NY tours, but if you're lucky enough to tour with Anny, it will be an extra special treat.

Highlight of our trip!

A friend and I were visiting from Milwaukee, WI for the weekend. Another friend had taken one of the tours over the summer and so highly recommended it that we took her advice. Our tour guide, Annie, was fabulous....charming, funny and talented. The tour started on time with water, napkins and heavenly Blackout Cake Cupcakes at the Little Cupcake Bakeshop. Annie's narration on the tour was full of fascinating historical tidbits about the neighborhood and her genuine enthusiasm for and love of the city was so infectious. Our favorite was the scrumptious pizza at Emporio. Yum. A delightful sunshine-filled day didn't hurt the experience either. Annie felt like family by the end of the tour and she serenaded us with her stunning voice as we ate our homemade browned butter graham crackers from Peel. TAKE THIS TOUR!!!! You will enjoy every minute. Thanks again, Annie.
