Foods of New York Tours

Anny was so great! The pizza from Emporio was the best pizza I have ever had. Be prepared to be surprised at the places you go to, they look so unassuming and you discover such great secret spots. They were all great places and in fact we went back to Emporio for that amazing pizza for dinner before our show. Foods of NY tours are the best and the only ones I want to go on. Did the Greenwich Village tour twice years ago. Thanks for a great day out!

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour and tasting so much so that we plan to do this again with this company. Bob our tour guide was fantastic. I told my husband that this would be the perfect job for me. Interesting, fun and very tasty!

We did the tour on a hot New York day with our two children (aged 20 and 17) and enjoyed it thoroughly. Susan was friendly and knowledgable. The food was excellent and it was fun trying new things. Don't eat anything before you come as there is lots of food . you definitely wont need to eat a meal soon afterwards. Its a great way to experience the city. I look forward to trying the other tours that are offered.

After going on two other NYC food tours and one in Boston I was very disappointed in this one. It was so hot yet we were constantly stopped in the hot sun for 3 hrs and given too much history of the area. If I wanted that much history/info on the area I would have signed up and paid for a different type tour. It was so awkward always eating outside on the the street, not getting to sit down and rest. Our guide kept getting us to "line" up in two lines and squeeze together in the heat. Several times we could have at least stopped in the shade instead. This tour was just not what I wanted or expected. We only found one Italian place we would have wanted to return to. Even the one drink we had was chocolate milk and grape juice mixed together! Does this sound appealing? We did not even get to look inside most of the food places. At least cut the group down or send 5 at a time inside. No, I would not recommend this tour.

The food was awesome and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this to friends and family who are visiting the New York area.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and wealth of knowledge the tour guide had to offer the group. She was awesome and I would highly recommend going on another food tour. The food was great and it was very nice of the owners to take the time out of their busy schedules to allow us to taste their food.

Enjoyed all of the restaurants. Went back on our last day to have lunch from 2 of the restaurants as well as picked up pastry from Once Upon a Tart to take home to family in Cincinnati. It traveled extremely well and was as delicious as the day of the tour.

GUIDE WAS A MINE OF INFORMATION ON THE AREA (GREENWICH VILLAGE) . WE ONLY HAD A DAY AND A HALF IN NEW YORK BUT THE TOUR MADE US FEEL THAT WE HAD GOT BENEATH THE SURFACE OF AT LEAST A SMALL PART OF IT. FOOD TASTINGS WERE GREAT AND CATERED FOR ONE OF US BEING VEGETARIAN.

Well, don't know what more I can say about this company. This is our 3rd Foods of New York tour!!! As stated in my last review, our experience was fantastic!!!!! Also did a tour 2 years ago, The Greenwich Village tour. This was a big factor in us coming back to NYC and will not come back without doing more tours with this company. For this tour we had Anny. She was an absolute joy to have as our tour guide. But then, all 3 of our guides have been wonderful. Each with their own personal way of making sure everyone had a Great time. Do NOT hesitate to take one of the tours. We have done 3 out of the 5. Chelsea/Meatpacking is our next one to try. I do not like Chinese food, but will probably do the Chinatown tour as well. The tours are that enjoyable. Anny, thanks for the great tour and your song at the end. Such a nice ending to a GREAT day. F.Ford

Annie was an excellent guide - fun and nice and full of information about the area. I liked that there were 3 indoor sit-down eating spots; it was a hot day! And I liked Annie's song at the end of the tour!

It's a really fun morning. Guide, Bert, knew his stuff. Restaurant choices were great.

Not only did we enjoy all the delicious samples, we learned alot about NYC and specifically the Meatpacking district. Our guide was very knowledgeable but also very funny. I can't wait to try some of the other tours next time I am town.

Being a restaurant owner and chef I love food...love to eat. I have been to New York many times and I usually try to hit as many spots as possible. I spend more time wandering aimlessly and lost than I do enjoying my favorite past time. This tour not only made it easy to check out a variety of foods, but we also learned a great deal about the Village and were enetertained all along the way by our knowledgeable and fun guide, Cindy. My 18 year old daughter and I laughed and ate our way through Greenwich Village. I would recommend this to anyone. Can't wait to return and go on some of the other tours.
