Enjoyed the tour, got a decent amount of delicious food to taste. Would have been better if all the tastings weren't just in Chelsea Market, though the market does have some great stuff. Enjoyed the history provided about the MP district, but could have spent more time walking around in it.

This is a wonderful tour. I can't believe I have been going to the village since 1962 and never knew how much I didn't know about the place. To have the myriad of places to visit whittled down to a choices of the "best" was just terrific! My husband and I really enjoyed finally knowing more details of the history of the area. Our guide was so knowledgeable, anything we asked, she knew the answer. She made our tour just so much fun! Her personality was great, a real "New Yorker"!! I recommend a $ raise for her! Every tour I have taken by the "Foods of New York" has been like a college class in detailed history of places and foods. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work. I look forward to every tour in the future! Do more parts of Manhattan!

Our guide was very engaging and full of great insider information about the food scene in the Central Village and SoHo. Aside from the food, he also was very knowledgeable and had great perspective around the history of the area. There were lots of tastings and the range of tastings was also impressive in terms of variety of cuisines (both savory and sweet). My only regret was that we didn't do the tour earlier in our trip so we could go back and do some of the things he mentioned. So if you're planning on doing a tour, do it as early in your trip as possible - you'll want to go eat at some of the restaurants that you hear about on the tour. I'll do another one the next time I'm in New York for sure. New York is best seen on foot and this tour was a wonderful experience - I highly recommend it.

Marie was a wonderful guide who kept us moving at a good clip, provided a vast amount of neighborhood information and served as a great food master. There were seven total tasting stops that ranged from pizza to chocolate chip cookies (still warm) to specialty meats, cheeses and my personal favorite...fried rice balls. And as if the food wouldn't be reason enough to highly recommend the tour, the historical information provided made us feel like part of the neighborhood. We even met some of the local residents who were out on the streets that added to the welcoming nature and feel throughout the entire tour. I'm looking forward to my next trip to NYC so I can participate in one of the other Foods of NY neighborhood food tours. Take it from a Midwest girl...you should take this tour the next time you find yourself in NYC.

We just had the most wonderful time on this tour. Even though I have dietary restrictions and I could not eat everything, they really made an effort to accommodate me at every establishment. Our guide, Michael, is a resident of the Greenwich Village for the last 25 years. He is not only a student of the history (knowing dates, people, places), but also brings a delightful piece of the personal histories of people in the neighborhood. The food is delicious and the tour was just all around fascinating. I highly recommend Michael. He is excellent!

The tour was great, the tour guide was very informative about the history of the area and the food. There was a slight mix up with tour guides at first and we got off to a late start, but other than that it was well worth it!

Our guide, Heather, was quite inspirational discussing all the fine restaurants in the Village. We had great food to taste but would have liked to taste more food from the restaurants visited. Overall, I would highly recommend the visit.

I booked 3 tickets to the 1:00p.m. Saturday tour 7/12. I was traveling from Indiana to New York city on vacation & was delayed 4 hours at the airport. I left a message at 9:00a.m. on Saturday to let the group know I would not be arriving in time to make the tour. The only option I was given was to buy 2 more tickets & get one free (another investment of $84.00 on top of the $110.00 I had already spent) I believe this is inflexible. I will not use the service again.

Cindy, our guide, was fun, entertaining, and full of interesting information about Greenwich Village food, architecture, and history. She also seemed to know lots of people in the neighborhood which gave the tour an added bonus. I was surprised that there were so many New York locals who took the tour too.
