Terrific tour!
Sun, May 4  12:00 PM ellenv Female 50-59 Local Group of Friends
I booked this tour as a surprise for my husband's birthday...wow was he shocked and thrilled. Our group had 10 people and our guide, Sam was interesting, funny and knowledgeable about the area. We all loved sampling the different foods and were stuffed when we left. We all agree that we can't wait to go on another one of your tours soon.Keep up the great work!

Very nice tour

Having taken the amazing Greenwich Village tour previously, it was inevitable that this slightly different-flavored tour would never quite live up to it. It was interesting to learn bits about the Chelsea neighborhood revitalization and our tour guide, Sam, was absolutely outstanding—engaging, chock full of information and went out of his way to learn our names—but I suppose my one hope was for a little bit more history and maybe a little more logic to the food courses (not starting with cookies at noon, for example). Not to complain, however...the tour was a great time.

Outstanding Chelsea Market Tour
Sun, May 4  11:30 AM csg4005 Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Kurt entertained, educated, and enlightened the group. He was my tour leader for the second time, to my delight, and my guests were as thrilled with him as I was. The tour itself is interesting and delicious. We greatly enjoyed tasting our way through Chelsea Market, getting to see the gorgeous restaurants, and making our way around the Chelsea meatpacking district - we even shopped afterward, and went back to the Gansevoort Hotel for drinks. Five stars to this tour and especially to Kurt!

Another winning tour

Last October I took the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Tour and it was very fun entertaining, & historically educational. Last weekend I took the Greenwich Village Food & Cultural tour. Another winner. Our guide, Michael Karp...having lived in the Village for many years, provided insight that was priceless...not to mention he probably could get side work in any comedy club. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was a blast. He knew all these great historical and food facts about the area, the restaurants and the food and all the while made it fun and interesting.

Don't go on the last day of your trip!
Sun, May 4  11:30 AM kcsimon Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This was the last activity we had planned in New York City before heading to the airport. We so wish we had planned this first because we wanted at least two more days to further explore all the wonderful restaurants and shops we visited on the tour. Our guide was great (a real local) and had many personal stories to share on the tour. Highly recommended!!!

We had a great time. It was the perfect balance of history, architecture and of course food!! The tastings were delicious and not too much. Our guide was well-prepared and funny. I highly recommend this tour, and it makes me excited to come back to visit Greenwich Village and go to some of the shops and restaurants we visited as well as explore others!

i really enjoyed the food tour. the only suggestion i would liek to pose is to not do two pizza restaurants on the tour. i understand these places probably are the simplest to do a sampling at but i think it would have been nicer to have a sample at a different type of restaurant. i am really excited to go back and try all the restaurants that were featured on the tour.

Best thing we did on our trip to New York
Sun, May 4  11:00 AM lisamarie317 Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This tour was really fun and also very informational. We tried a lot of great food and learned a lot about the history of the village and architecture of the buildings. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. If you decide to take one of the tours, do it at the beginning of your trip so you have time to go back and visit the places where you would like to spend more time. My husband and I made the mistake of doing the tour on our last day and didn't have time to go back and see anything on our own or eat at any of the great restaurants we learned about. Bummer! Will do it differently next time. Will definitely take another tour when we are back in NYC!

Wonderful Experience

I took my daughter (21) on this tour with me. Both of us really enjoyed it. The tour said you would be full at the end of the tour and that is not an overstatement! We ate a light breakfast, but both of us thought we should have skipped that. We were glad we didn't have early dinner plans! I was still full hours later. The tour was a good mix of food, history, local architecture and general information. The group size was wonderful as it gave you an opportunity to ask questions if you wanted. The food places were great and you definitely want to spend some time afterwards to shop in the various stores. We had a wonderful experience, Thank You!!

perfect combination of food and history

Susan, our guide, was excellent. Providing tidbits of history and offering her passion for the food, history and area. This was a great alternative to museums, theater and shopping. I will sign up to do the other tours when in NYC again.

Very enjoyable & Interesting

Having been to the Village on my previous trips to New York I never really spent as much time as I did this time and we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying there till 11pm. The tour was interesting, the guide was very pleasant, the food was great (although I think an extra stop or two would not have been bad)

Enjoyed it, not sure I would recommend it.
Sat, May 3  12:30 PM SarahDV Female 30-39 Local Couple on a Date
My husband and I really enjoyed the food portion of the tour, but felt that the tour tried a bit too hard to be all things to all people. Specifically, we didn't particularly feel the need to know about the different types of architecture or to walk around Washington Square Park- we were more interested in the next tasting. However, as we are frequent daytrippers to the Village, this complaint may not be a general one. The food portion of the tour was great- we loved learning about the restaurants, specifically the Indian Bread Co. & Montes. So, in short, we would have preferred a 2.5hr tour that didn't talk as much about general history as opposed to the 3.5hr tour that did.
