Foods of New York Tours

My father owns a restaurant so trying new food is VERY hard for me since I have a taste for everything I try. This was one of the greatest tours I have ever been on. The tour guides were so personable I felt as if a good friend was giving me a great food tour of the city. I have been to the city at least 100 times and to go on this tour in think wow I'm only 2 miles from time square and im having cauliflower in a secret back house of a restaurant was awesome!

Our guide was knowledgable and made the afternoon into a great family day out. The historical background was fascinating and the food was outstanding!

We are 2 families with 4 teens. It was fun, delicious and interesting to all. Super hot day and our guide made sure we were well hydrated and in the shade. We did the tour on the last day for our final hi-lite. We all agreed it would have been bettter to do the tour early on so we could have gone back to eat full meals at the various restaurants.

Some of the places were closed on a Sunday so don't go that day! Guide named Raheem talked too much and promoted his wife, his favorite restaurants that weren't part of the samples. tour. Got bored with him. But I've taken several of the companys tours and ALL of them have been great. That's why this was such a disapointment.

Well done with a very amusing and professional leader

My 8 yr daughter and I decided to try this tour to have some mothr-daughter time away from the men in the family and we had a blast! We loved the food. Walking around Greenwich Village was exciting and we got to see lots of interesting sites and here interesting lore about the Village. Our tour guide, Bert, was AMAZING, funny and personable. It's the perfect amount of walking, standing, sitting, tasting, talking, learning. What a great tour!

This was a 2nd tour for me but I returned with my husband and two close friends who I knew would totally enjoy this tour. They loved it!! The food tasting is superb and the background info by our tour guide (Cindy) was hugely entertaining. I really can't say enough good things about this tour and especially our guide, Cindy.

Our guide Annie was thoughtful,friendly and organised. The food and the restrauntants/shops was fantastic. thoroughlly enjoyed ourselves.

I was excited for the tour from the beginning, but once we got there (my boyfriend and I) I was ecstatic. Anny was so nice and knowledgeable. We had so much fun from the start and ate so much food! I was concerned that we weren't going to get large portions...boy was I wrong!! Emporio is still my favorite, the pizza was soooo good and we got to see them make it before we ate it! On top of that, they gave us each a whole quarter of the pie and a little bite sized Nutella dessert. Definitely would go back there. Can't wait to try my next tour! But one word of advice, wear your walking shoes!

Annie, our guide, was great. She started by knowing everyones names and using them throughout the tour. Everywhere we stopped to eat, food and service staff was great. We even had a wine tasting. Annie was so knowledgable and has such great stories, the time flew. This is my second food tour and I would schedule more. Much more fun to add food to a tour. kathy

The food tour was good and the tastings were delicious. Some of the tastings were very similar in comparison to the variety I experience in the LES tour. I also found that the tour guide talked much more than in the LES tour, and we had a very long break from food.

Prior to arriving to NYC, we found out that one of our group members would not be able to attend. I called the company and spoke with Tom who was courteous and very helpful. Without hesistation, Tom refunded the cost for that person. On the day of the tour we met with our tour guide Heather. She was energetic and very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain things, answer questions and directed the group in such a way that everyone was able to actively participate. The food was delicious and overall I would highly recommend this tour.

This was the fifth time I've done a tour with Tours of NY and it didn't disappoint. Our tour guide, Raheem, was informative and humorous and full of fun facts about the area. The foods were diverse, delicious and plentiful. No need for dinner that evening, that's for sure! These tours are well worth the time and money. Don't hesitate - do it!

We always suspected that Greenwich Village would offer a feast for the eyes and stomach. Now we know that it is true. My son and I truly enjoyed our stroll through the past and present day village. It seemed at first that the portions were going to be a bit scimpy but after the 8th or 9th sample we were wondering whether we would be able to last until dessert, but holy cannoli, it was worth waiting for! We will definitely return to the village and recommend the tour to other visitors. A special thanks to Barri for making our tour so much fun!

Tour guide, Cindy, was awesome. Food was varied and interesting. Great way to spend a few hours.
