| My family and I enjoyed the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour immensely! Curt was both informative and personable. He worked to engage every member of our tour. The variety and quality of the food samples were excellent. Each member of our family of four gives a big 'thumbs up' to this delightful experience. We loved trying foods new to us...and also the those familiar (warm chocolate chip cookies)! We have already recommended this tour to others. Thank you! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our food tasting tour of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District! Our guide, Ed, was a fellow "foodie" and kept us interested and entertained while he shared the history and inner workings of the market and the Meatpacking District. In addition to the variety of delicious and generous tastings, we felt like we really got to know the area. It was fun to peek inside some of the new trendy restaurants. We even went back later to shop and have dinner! Highly recommend! | ||||||

| Really enjoyed the tour. Darrell was insightful, fun and very energetic. Would have liked to do more tastings outside of Chelsea market in the meat packing district, but that would be my only regret. | ||||||

| This tour of the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District was FANTASTIC! The food we sampled was delicious, and from places we probably never would have found on our own. We had plenty of food - and even came hungry as others recommended. Our tour guide was excellent - he was full of interesting information, was funny, friendly and did a great job. I'm so glad my husband found this tour information online - now I can't wait to do another one in a different area. My husband and I have spent plenty of time in NYC and crossed off all the "Have to do" touristy things, so we're always looking for something new to do - this was a great part of our latest trip in an area of town we had never really visited. I've suggested these tours to several people already and know we'll do a different one the next time we're in The Big Apple! Thank you for a wonderful experience! | ||||||

| my family (husband and 2 kids, ages 12 and 16) have done 2 other of your tours, and this one was terrific. we were pleasantly surprised, and sam did a super job in many ways: he learned each of our names right away (that's a daunting task) he joked around while teaching us historical facts his enthusiasm was contagious he was great with all types of people (my kids, the int'l tourists, and all) he made us feel comfortable and involved in the tour -- rather than being lectured he involved each of us with eye contact and fun questions cant wait til you guys offer more tours of the city -- how bout harlem area? or arthur avenue? or lower east side? or even upper east/west manhattan? we will sign up for every one -- we find it fun, informative, and yummy! you do a great job and thank you again to sam from sam/emily/john/ellen | ||||||

A Great Introduction to the Village!

| My wife, daughter (17) and son (12) did this tour on a Sunday near the end of our NYC visit. My only regret was we should have done it closer to the begining. We would have certianly dined more in the village and the savings would have more than made up for the cab fare from midtown. We had locals that lived in the village on our tour that couldn't believe all the things they did not know about thier own neighborhood. Bari was a great guide and we learned much about the history, architecture, culture, personalities of the city within the city. You don't really walk that far and considering the city was experincing a massive heat wave, it was very bearable. Bari always had us standing in the shade. I can't imagine a better way to introduce yourself to Greenwich Village. Oh....and the food was fantastic! And you won't need lunch. | ||||||

| It rained during our entire walking tour, but the rain did not take much away from the wonderful experience we had. We are a little familiar with the area, or so we thought .... Our guide Rahim was perfect. He knew so much about the area and talked about it with a lot of knowledge and I would say passion. A great sence of humour, too. Everything we tried was so tasty. There was a lot of variety and EVERYTHING was delicious. We ended up retracking our steps and visiting a couple of places after the tour and sampling their food (wonderful tarts and some more of the amazing sausage, which came back home with us). We have made a note of a few places for our future visits ... You think you know the area and then you go on a tour like this ..... | ||||||

| Our guide, Ed, was wonderful. He is very knowledgeble about the area. We enjoyed his insight and personal stories. The food during the tour is varied and delicious, and we thought there was plenty of it for a tasting tour. Walking around the area with Ed left us wanting to return. | ||||||

| The tastings were wonderful and the information along the way was something we wouldn't have found in just one book. Our guide (Maria) was respectful of the neighborhood and delivered great information about the area and food. | ||||||

| This tour was a great addition to our trip to New York! The tastings were great, but the neighborhood tidbits and historical information were even better! This was a great way to spend an afternoon, and get to see a section of the city we were interested in knowing more about. It poured rain on our tour, and it was still definately one of our trip highlights! | ||||||

| Our group of 4 met up with Curt at the assigned place and time. Curt was an incredible guide, learning all of the tour participant's names (about 16) and sharing introductions with everyone so we all felt welcomed. The stops on the tour were all good choices and I really wouldn't change a thing. The weather cooperated and the day couldn't have been better. Curt paced the tour well, expecially considering we had one member who had broken her ankle on her first day in NYC and was in a wheelchair. Curt was extremely entertaining and provided us with all sorts of interesting facts. When it was over we returned to some of the shops we had toured to make some purchases. The tour was a hilight of our trip to NYC. I highly recommend this tour. (Ask for Curt if you can!) | ||||||

Chelsea Tour Fabulous even in Extreme Weather

| Our family had the good fortune to experience the Greenwich Village Tour several years ago during a freak blizzard in March. The intrepid guide and the group soldiered on through the blinding snow for three hours. Although completely frozen, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and loved the guide with his interesting stories, remembered long afterwards. So, we enthusiastically signed up for the Chelsea Market Tour for our trip to NYC this August. The day of our tour dawned a stiffling 98 degrees!! We decided that it was our family's fate to go on Food Tours during extreme weather conditions. But once again, the tour was worth withstanding the blazing heat. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge, and we sampled wonderful treats. We would do it again--maybe next time during a typhoon. | ||||||
