We had a great time along with great food on a simply great day in the Village. Actually we plan on doing this tour again in the future. Our guide, Barry, was very knowledgeable and courteous. We had the advantage of a very small group (just us) so it was like she was our personal tour guide. She seemed to have much interest in her city, and she came across like she really enjoyed her work.
We would definitely do another Zerve tour. |

We had a great time on the Chelsea & meatpacking tour. Saw a few celebs too which was fun! We tried loads of different things, including flavoured salts & salt 'candies' which were very tasty and surprising. We were lucky enough to only have a small tour and the chance to meet and talk to many of the owners of the businesses we were touring which was great. I also liked meeting the real-life lobsters!!! The food was delicious, and plenty of it. A real mix of samples so there is something for everyone. I liked hearing about the history of the areas we were visiting and the regeneration that's happening there, plus we stuck our heads round the door of some fab restaurants and shops that'd we'd have never gone in otherwise. All in all a great tour with a great guide (Kurt!), which made for great fun (and a full stomach!!). |

Michael was an excellent guide. He sprinkled in just enough history between tastings and about the restaurants. The food was very good. We also enjoyed the free wine tasting after the tour was over. I highly recommend this tour. |

We both had a great time on the Greenwich Food Tour. It was the day after 'blizzard 06' so we wrapped up warm, though we need not have worried too much about the cold as we spent plenty of time popping in and out of food stores and restaurants and cafés. All the tastings were delicious and there was plenty of food, I felt fit to burst at the end! Our guide Kurt was great, filling us in on the best places to eat/hang out in the area, letting us in on some 'Village' secrets - we really enjoyed the visit to the old speakeasy! All the while he was thoroughly entertaining and kept us all laughing. I can't recommend the trip enough - though do try and do it early in your visit. As we returned to the area on numerous occasions during our stay after the tour, for lunches, dinners and tasty snacks. Plus we bought food to bring back to the UK with us on our last day - obviously we couldn't get enough! All in all a fab trip -I highly recommend it and when we come back to NY - we'll definitely come back on another food tour! |

It was a pleasure to discover this gem of a tour in the city we've been to many, many times. Our guide was extremely informative and the shops and restaurants we visited very accomodating and welcoming. We have a new appreciation for a previously shunned area and will definately visit the area shops and restaurants again |

It was great but it was too cold and there were too many sweets on the tour. I would have liked vegetables, fruits, seafood and meat. |

All the facts, history and trivia about the Chelsea Market delivered by an extremely knowledgeable guide (Curt) who is obviously personally interested and connected and is a real entertainer. The food tasting establishments were all of high quality - the lobster room was the most fascinating and the salt tastings were also unusual. |

Great way to spend 3 hours, lots of local history described in a lively informative manner. Our guide was very entertaining, knew his history of the district and was very comfortable in discussions. Tastings were excellent, A lot of different vendors all good quality. Good fun, good walk, good company. |

This was a great tour. We loved spending the day getting to know a new area of NYC, eating along the way, and learning from our knowledgeable guide. It was a diverse group of people and an excellent off-the-beaten-path activity.

This is a wonderful way to familiarize yourself with a new area. I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide accommodated the needs and interests of our very diverse group (young, old and foreigners) and we all had fun. We got to try some wonderful food and learn some very interesting fact about the area. I can't wait to go back and explore on my own now that I feel comfortable with this part of town. A word of caution; if you go during the winter months, dress very, very warmly since the tour is completely outside and the wind can blow right through you.
Enjoy!!! |
