Highly recommended tour due to the personality and vast knowledge of tour guide. Having the business owners visit with the tour group was a nice touch. Tour guide might not want to make assumption that everyone is from out-of-town. I didn't not enjoy the tasting consisting of deep-fried mushrooms as much.

we were not sure about a walking tour, honestly i thought it would be boring especially for three hours! Our guide Kurt was hysterical and we learned so much along the way, all while tasting great food and seeing great restaurants! fantastic.. we LOVED kurt and would recommend anyone taking the tour to try to request him! k jackson

We were a party of four - two couples. Some of us can be very picky about food; but, we all had a great time! Christian, our guide, was informative, friendly and genuinely enjoyed showing us the Village. The food was plentiful and offered a nice sampling. The men thought Joe's pizza was outstanding. We ended up having dinner at one of Christian's recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Although I loved the food, I liked seeing and hearing about the neighborhood the most. I honestly did not realize what a self contained residential area it was. I am not sure I would have found my way to the lovely streets we vistied on my own. I highly recommend this tour. We had such a good time that we plan on taking the other tours. Thanks Christian!

OUR TOUR GUIDE DID AN EXCELLANT JOB. I THINK HIS NAME WAS DARRYL. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. DID HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING THERE FROM UPPER WEST SIDE & THE WEATHER WAS BAD BUT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TOUR. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE HAD THE COOKIE AFTER THE OTHER FOODS IT KIND OF SPOILED MY APPETITE. I WOULD DEFINETLY RECCOMEND THIS TO OTHERS.

As great as both of the other tours, this one touches on so many different types of food. Lots of historical info as well. Barri was a super guide, professional and knowledgeable. We have so many places to re-visit. I hope Foods of NY adds lots more tours. It's a big city!

I booked this tour for a school project with my group (we're doing NYC foods). None of us were sure if the tour would be helpful, considering we are doing a thesis project, not a report. To our surprise, the tour was incredibly helpful and has inspired us. In addition, it was a complete blast! The tour guide was a riot and had lots of information, the food was TERRIFIC, and it was overall just a good time. I highly recomend this to people of all ages, whether they be students, tourists, food consesours, or people just looking for a good time. Two thumbs up!!!

This food tour centered mostly around the Chelsea Marketplace, and it was very informative about not only the large wholesale food providers, but also the history of the building. It covered the building's past lives including the restoration and revival to its form today. The last part of the tour took us outside and around the neighborhood. It is a fascinating part of the city that is now in a major transition. All of the tastings were in the marketplace-I wish we had had some tastings in a couple of the restaurants outside. The tastings included too many sweets for my palate-would have enjoyed more "real food" from restaurants etc. But it was well worth it-there was a lot of food, and you definitely won't go hungry!

What a great way to spend an afternoon!! Our guide Daryl was wonderful and he really made the tour fun.. The food samples were more than ample for lunch so do not eat before you do the tour. The meatpacking tour was very interesting and informative. What a fun afternoon!!! I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was one of the best things I have ever done in NYC. Michael, our tour guide, provided us with a wonderful afternoon of good food mixed with history and architecture. It was amazing, and I not only learned Greenwich Village history, but have discovered many restaurants and clubs that I will certainly try out in the future. We literally walked around the block, but it felt like we toured around the world. I highly recommend this tour, and am going to sign up for another one in the Meatpacking District when I return to NYC next month. It has also given me some amazing places to take friends when we visit.

I was thrilled to find space for the Chelsea Market tour during my recent trip to NYC. I went with another friend from Atlanta along with our 13-year old daughters. They were not as taken by the tour as we were until there was a celeb citing (Lindsey Lohan), then another, almost (Beyonce). The Chelsea Market was full of great places and the food was more than generous. It was a great value for $40 and a deal for the teenagers at $20. It was fun to go behind the scenes in the market and also into some of the most incredible restaurants in the Meatpacking District. Our guide, Kurt, was full of energy and information. I would highly recommend this tour and hope to go on another on my next trip! E. Currie, Atlanta, GA
