| This was a great tour. Even my NJ aunts didn't know that much about Greenwich Village. Good variety of foods and plenty to eat. Would not recommend for children under 13 or 14, though. My child was bored. | ||||||

| There were 4 of us on the tour, we are all well traveled......and we all agreed that this was one of the BEST excursions we had ever taken. We had plenty of opportunity to sit and rest, so don't be concerned about getting too tired. There was a 90 year old on the tour and she did just fine. Don't miss it!! Our only regret.....we didn't go the first day of our trip so we could go back and dine at some of the restaurants. | ||||||

| Chelsea Marketplace is an awesome place for a foodie. However, the tour would have been even more interesting if we could have visited more places outside of the marketplace and sampled foods from some of the establishments in the neighborhood. | ||||||

| I had some time to kill and a friend of mine recommended that I do a food tour. Not only did I absolutely enjoy my time on the tour, but it turned out to be a highlight of my trip. Our guide was not only knowledgable, but also very entertaining. The food was delicious! If you are interested in learning about how food inspired a certain area of the city and also getting a taste of the local cuisine, I would highly recommend doing a food tour. What I liked about Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District is that it was mostly inside and then when we were outside, it wasn't that far of a walk. I also loved that Food Network is headquartered here, and we got to see a Food Network star. Overall, I give it a 10! | ||||||

| Even though we were rained on for much of the tour, it won't be the rain I remember but rather the useful informaiton on what the restaurants on Bleecker street serve and other information about them. The tour provided a great overview of the highlighted restaurants and we went back that evening for dinner at one of them! (Rissoritto). Our guide was friendly and responsive. I' recommend Marie as a guide. | ||||||

| On April 4, 2006, I decided to take the tour. Our tour guide Cindy was Awesome! She is full of energy, knowledge and she feeds you! Too bad she's married! LOL! I highly recommend this tour, the food is DELICIOUS and it's all within 4-5 blocks. From cheese to pastries, you will NOT go home hugry! And you will definitely learn something. | ||||||

| We often take walking tours in Europe...some group tours and some private. As native New Yorkers, we are always looking to discover our own city and this tour did not disappoint. This was our second food tour with Foods of NY, having taken the Chelsea Market tour and we were very satisfied. We were both pleased that neither of the tours was redundant with the other and with the mixture of history, food, and humor with which the tour was delivered. Michael was an excellent tour guide. We heard equally good things about the other tour guides from those on earlier and later tours. A must do! | ||||||

| Entertaining, knowledgeable guide that gave you an excellent feel for Greenwich Village, it's past (and Pasta), and what it is now. We visited some delightful, small food outlets and shops and sampled some very good food. The visit to Chumley's speakeasy was a highlight. | ||||||

| We had a truly fantastic time on this tour. It was a cold, blustery day out, but as other reviews have stated, this particular tour takes place mostly indoors. We were inside for the first two hours, and even in the last hour, we were only outside for at most 10 minutes at a time. So this one is perfect for the winter months. Due to the weather, my husband and I were the only two people on the tour. This could potentially have been uncomfortable, but happily, we LOVED Kurt (sp?) the tour guide, who was funny, charming, conversational, and infectiously enthusiastic throughout. We both remarked afterwards that it felt like we had spent the afternoon with a friend... who just happened to know all the people and history and restaurants and surroundings of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District like the back of his hand. Last but not least, the food was amazing. The items may change from tour to tour, but on the day we went, we had an "everything" cookie, gourmet chocolate milk, lobster bisque, organic bread, a sampling of various Italian foods, cheese/preserves/crackers, fruit spreads with biscuits, berry tea and gelato. We are big eaters but were definitely very full by the end. We have been recommending this tour to everyone we know! | ||||||

| We were met promptly and corteously. Kurt the guide was polite and gave explanations but did not overdo it! All places were clean and we were made welcome. It was a bit awkward in the first place 'Joes Pizza ' due to lack of room. He seemed to enjoy himself and was good with a funny cross-section of people. These were mostly American and they enjoyed it. Best part of our trip. After it we spent a part of the day going round in more detail. We would do it again. Kurt got the biggest tip all week. | ||||||

| This was a very enjoyable tour of the food and cultural highlights of one of the most historic areas of New York city. We gathered at Murray's Cheese shop and our guide, Marie, was very welcoming and friendly. The food we tasted was of very high quality and gave us a full flavour of the gastronomic delights of the Greenwich village area. As visitors from Scotland we would highly recommend this tour as a perfect way to find your bearings and plan your stay in the area. | ||||||
