Our guide had a great sense of humor as well as knowledge and history of the area. He provided a relaxed group feeling while loading us with great facts and food. I recommend this tour to all and I look forward into the next one - Chelsea Market.

There was far more food than I imagined a tasting tour would contain, plenty of entertainment, loads of interesting facts and amazing anecdotes that really brought the area to life. For the price of a decent lunch this was well worth the money and as an English person on a working secondment to New York it was an excellent way of having some great food without sitting and looking at an empty chair opposite me. Mike the tour guide was informative and fun, the rest of the party were enthusiastic and the food was memorable. The only thing that could have improved the day was if I had worn my gloves, if a glass of Port or red wine had come with the cheese tasting and if my partner had been here to enjoy it with me. She would have loved it as much as I did.

I went with two of my friends on this food tour. The guide was energetic and knew a lot about the neighborhood and the food. We stopped at eight great places. The food stops were spread out enough that I didn't get too full so I was able to enjoy everything. That evening I went back with a friend to one of the restaurants we stopped at and had a delicious meal. Definitely a great way to learn about the neighborhood and eat at the same time.

Rahim was our tour guide and he was fantastic. Clearly knowledgeable and definitely came off like a pro, even though he'd only been doing this a few months. Also, he has a great relshp with the food vendors in the neighborhood, so it was really great to see that there are real people behind these establishments! Places we went to were great, as was the food at each. It was a good amount of food (not too much, not too little, fairly well spaced-out). My only critique would be that it would be even better to make it a slightly smaller group (like a group of 10-12) so that we would be able to actually physically go in to some of these places (we got to go into some, but not all). Otherwise, food tour was great, and I am definitely considering going on another. And kudos to Rahim - he was fabulous!

Loved it! Our guide, Rahim (sp?) was knowledgeable, personable, and fun. It was nice that he had experience with the restaurants we tasted at and seemed to know the proprieters well. The food was great! Cultural and historical info was very interesting! It was a little long (and cold), but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable!

I enjoy the food tours because they are fun and interesting, as well as educational. I am always looking for new and different things to do in New York City. I love cultural and educational activities... so the food tours are pefect. Although I live only 20 minutes from the city, I would never know about all of the places that the food tours introduce me to. They really expose you to obscure little places in the city while simultaneoulsy teaching you the history of the area.

This was a great and informative tour that gave a useful insight into the local area. Don't eat before this tour as you get to sample 2 types of pizza; bread; cheese; cookies; cakes and more! Good value for money and with the added bonus that we were given a comprehensive list of all the local eateries with money off vouchers, so that we could return at a later date.
