| We very much enjoyed this tour. Cindy was our guide and she has a lot of energy and passion in sharing her knowledge of the food, people, buildings, history, and overall area. The complete tour lasted just over two and one-half hours but it flew by. Last December, my wife and I had done the Greenwich Village tour. We enjoyed that one so much that we brought out children (ages 13 & 10) with this time and they loved it as well. We live in the Washington, DC area and get to NYC once or twice a year. By taking these two tours, we feel we have learned much more about the Greenwich Village and Chelsea. In fact, we were able to share some new information about Greenwich with a couple of Manhattanites. Our plan is to do a different food tour each time we come to the city. | ||||||

| Our guide was Cindy - she was wonderful. Well-informed and entertaining without engaging in the idiotic tour guide practices like making us respond in unison! I will take all my out of town visitors on this tour. It is a great intro to high end New York food purveyors. If guests are here only for a weekend, it is perfect, since it introduces them to so many. If they are here for several days, it is a great start and provides lots of excellent tips on a great variety of places to eat during the rest of the stay. | ||||||

| I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Kurt was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. I did the Greenwich tour last year and thought that was the best but I would put the Chelsea tour right up there with it. Thanks for a great time. | ||||||

| This was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. The food, iniformation and the company were all great and it let us see a side of the village that we would not have been able to see on our own. I would do it again! | ||||||

| Our tour guide Ed was very nice and very informed about the local restaurants in Greenwich Village. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour and the tasting of all the various foods. Our recommendation is to do the tour at the begining of your stay in New York as you might like to go back and try some of the restaurants at a later date. | ||||||

| I'm a native New Yorker from the Upper West SIde who has lived in Wisconsin for over 40 years. This Foods of New York tour showed me an area of the city that I had never become acquainted with previously. Our guide, Ed, knew a ton of information about New York, the restaurants and the neighborhood. I can't imagine a better guide. All the restaurants we visited were extremely gracious to us as a group and we had many delicious samples. We were able to be seated at a few of the spots, and also learned about many places that we passed but did not visit. It was astonishing to see so many, many fascinating spots in such a condensed geographical area. We can't wait to get back and visit some of them on our own. Both our daughter and her fiance said they would take this very same tour all over again! They, my husband and I all recommend it most enthusiastically. | ||||||

| I decided to take this tour and it was one of the best decisions that i made! Not only did you get to eat and try many new foods, but you also were given history about the area and the building. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. | ||||||

| Our tour guide Bert was terriffic! As he introduced himself to each group, he memorized our names, where we were from and things we told him. He remembered that my friend was from South Florida and was cold, so he brought that up a few times. We had several International group members with unusual names, but he soon remembered us all, which really personalized the tour. There were 15 of us. We never felt rushed as we moved from place to place. The food was wonderful. Bert knew all the shop owners and a lot about the area. He made jokes along the way and really made our trip special. I highly recommend this to all. This was our second Foods of NY tour. Our first was the Greenwich Tour two years ago. This one was just as good, if not better. I suppose we preferred this one, this time because it was so bitterly cold outside and most of the tour was indoors. The other one was completely outdoors and would have been very miserable on a cold or rainy day. | ||||||

| My husband and I have been to New York several times and also enjoy traveling internationally. We chose this tour on a recommendation of a friend because of our love of various cultures, history, and most importantly food. This tour combined all of these things and was well worth the $40 each (which at first we thought was a bit expensive). Our guide was very knowledgable on the area and his love for the village was obvious. He'd grown up there all his life and was able to provide a unique perspective of what it used to be and how it's changing. The guide really made the tour what it was. I was very impressed and I'm a huge critic. We took his advice on one of the restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. In fact, it was probably the best meal during our time there. I look forward to our next trip and taking some of the other tours. | ||||||

| Our guide was great, good fun, knowledgeable and we spent a really enjoyable three hours learning about the history and culture of NY - and we got fed - bonus!! I'd definitely recommend this to others as a way to see the 'different' aspects of NY - and would definitely come back again! | ||||||
