Great way to spend the day!

We had a great time. We loved learning all of the little tidbits and facts. We would have enjoyed it better if it wasn't quite so cold. We wish there was a bit more variety in the food tasting. What we tasted was very good - but variety would have been even better.

Fun way to see a slice of NYC
Thu, Feb 28, 08   11:30 AM jlavery Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
This was a fun way to see a slice of New York city! The food was all good, but be sure to eat something before you go. It was about 28 degrees, so we were very cold and would have liked it to move faster. In warmer weather, the 3 hours would be perfect.

Our guide, Ed was just too awesome; his knowledge of culture, history. architecture was phenomenal. He was fun and personable, too. We expexted good food and information about Greenwich Village; we were surprised with so much more. We only wished we would have taken your tours the very first days in New York City. We will be back for more of your tours. thanks for making NY so memorable. Patty and KATIE FROM LOUISIANA

I didn't know what I was going to do on my free day in NYC, a time I wanted to relax, explore and eat food before I started some classes..... I thought a group event might be the thing, and when I arived for the food tour I was pleased to have such a charming and intelligent host such as Curt. I am in NY for a total of 4 weeks taking courses at The Culinary Institute in Hyde Park. It was such a great experience in Greenwich that I'll be back in a week when my Fiance comes to visit for the day and take the Chelsea meat-packing tour with Curt again!

Tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We sampled lots and lots of foods. It felt like we made friends with the local merchants as well. This was my thrid time in 6 years. In April we are taking the Chelsea Market Tour.

My boyfriend and I took the Greenwich Village Culinary Walking Tour and loved it - our guide was friendly, witty and a long-term resident of the 'nabe so knew all about its Bohemian history and hidden gems. We learned a lot, and had many delicious snacks - and had so many restaurant recommendations that we went back to Greenwich Village to eat for the following four nights of our stay! Highly recommended.

This was a highlight of my first trip to New York. One of the best guides, Nancy, and she really knew the history and area so well. I will be back to take some of your other tours.

Valuable resource in learning 'the City'.

I thought this was a great way to learn alot about the Greenwich Village food scene. I found it full of information of the evolution of the food culture in that area of the city. Who is Calvin Trillin anyway? A world class food writer who lives in the village.

The tour was great, our tour guide, Marie was very welcoming and attentive. The foods we tasted were amazing! It was a bit chilly when we went, but this would be a great date when it's warmer.

Very informative. There was a Japanese visitor in the group and even she has learned a great deal which she hadn't known before. Food was delicious and definitely enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of the village and soho. The food was delicious, and our guide was fun and very knowledgable. I enjoyed the smaller group of people on the tour (8), compared with the 16 people on a previous tour. Overall, excellent! I would definitely recommend to a friend, and I hope to partake in others in the future.

Eating our way through SoHo
Sat, Feb 23, 08   12:30 PM mariahen Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Our tour started with meeting Rahim. He was very informative and pleasant. The different type of foods we tasted were all great and definitely filled us so we didn't need to get lunch. The quaint restaurants that we were taken into were very unique and seeing the apartment buildings with their fire escapes all reminded me of when I was growing up in the West End of Boston which is no longer there. Of course the prices for rent certainly weren't the same as when I lived in Boston. I liked how we were only a group of 8 - it made it easier to ask questions, etc. The directions given to me were pretty much right on and the man at the place we started our tour was also very nice. I know when we return next year for our "8th" annual weekend in New York City, we definitely will return to SoHo and have dinner at one of the restaurants that Rahim pointed out to us. We also did the Chelsea Market tour last year and LOVED Kurt as well.
