| We consider ourselves "almost local". After all we're from Connecticut, aren't we? We never go to NYC as tourists - except this time we decided to take this food tour. Didn't really know what to expect, but why not? What a surprise! The tour was wonderful! Our guide was incredible! She was the perfect mix of information and comedy theater. We learned an amazing amount about where to eat, where to buy products while also learning a whole lot we didn't know about Greenwich Village and places we've passed by many times. We ate ourselves silly, laughed a lot, learned a bunch and haven't stopped talking about the tour between ourselves and to any friends who will listen. We'll definitely be back for the Chelsea tour soon. | ||||||

| 1. Tour guide Cindy was wonderful. In addition to her warm and funny style, you realized that she was a vital part of the neighborhood as people on the street acknowledged and greeted her. 2. The time flew by quickly. It really could have been longer. 3. I'm glad we didn't take take out to "shop" because it's a waste of our time and her expertise. 4. Group size of 16 made it personalized -- any bigger would be hard to manage and feel impersonal. 5. More tastes of more things -- even if a little bitty mouthful. | ||||||

ENJOYED THE CULTURAL ASPECT OF THE TOUR

| We booked this tour on a whim and really enjoyed it. We liked all the cultural tidbits our tour guide related with enthusiasm. We were a little disappointed with the amount of food we got to taste. It was all delicious but we thought we would be trying more things than what we got. After the tour was over , we went hunting for a place to eat, which of course was one of the places we tried on the tour. We will definitely try the Chelsea Market tour next. | ||||||

| A great combination of food sampling and history of the neigborhood and the surrounding area. I'd reccomend that you take the tour on your first day in the city so that you have as much time as possible to enjoy all the fabulous restaurants. | ||||||

| We had a great time on the tour and learned some historical facts about Greenwich Village while sampling scrumptious food. We had Cindy as our tour guide and I must say she was quite entertaining as well as informative. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about what Greenwich Village has to offer, especially if you love to eat. Thanks again Cindy for a great time! | The tour went on for longer than originally anticipated, but we were all having such a good time, nobody seemend to mind! Cindy, our guide, is a local New Yorker and it was wonderful to have an insider's viewpoint on the area. She was also very amusing, obviously enjoying herself and added tidbits of infomration many tour guides wouldn't bother with. I am seriously considering booking her for private tours when other people come out to visit me. It was one of the best $40 I've spent in the city. | ||||||

| This was one of the highlights of our trip! We can't wait to return to NYC to experience the Chelsea Food/Walking tour. Cindy, tour guide extraordinaire, was funny and really made the tour enjoyable and interesting and the food was fabulous. Two of our friends, native New Yorkers, joined us for the tour and they had a great time as well - and learned something about their city in the process. Cheers to all! | ||||||

| It was a great learning experience. Cindy was very entertaining. There are so many interesting storys within a few city blocks in the village. Things were brought to oue attention that we would have never noticed had we not taken the tour. I highly recommend it to anyone! | ||||||

"Girls Trip to NYC" - 5 girls looking to explore Greenwich Village

| Our only regret about this tour was that we didn't do it sooner!! We had such a good time, and learned SO much, that we realized we should have done it our first day in New York. We knew the "samples" were supposed to be enough for lunch - but quite frankly we didn't believe it. We ended up being full after only the first few samples! Do NOT eat breakfast before going on this tour!! Not only did we get a list of restaurants & shops to take home, but we learned about where to eat and why, as well as the history and culture of Greenwich Village. And our tour guide was HILARIOUS!! She was like a character out of Saturday Night Live and knew everything there was to know about the area. It wasn't boring for a second! It was the best thing we did on our entire trip!! | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour. There was alot of historical information supplied along with excellent food tasting activities. I would not recommend this tour for the winter. It was difficult to pay attention with my appendages feeling as though they would fall off at any moment. It is necessary to have a tour guide who speaks loudly. Otherwise you miss some good information. | ||||||

| My daughter and I were delighted with the historically based walking tour of Greenwich. The food samples were really delicious and the sights were terrific. Additionally, our guide was enthusiastic and knowlegable. The day of our tour was very cold so we would have preferred to walk more quickly between the restaurants, rather than lingering outdoors so long between stops. This is a three hour tour that could be two hours if we didn't linger so long on the street. Overall, we were very pleased with the tour and will recommend it to our friends who may visit New York.
