A tasty and informative way to see the Village

I have already used my new found knowledge by providing a restaurant recommendation to friends who will be visiting NYC this weekend. I think the tour could be improved upon by offering more tastes (could be as small as a spoonful) of food from the restaurants. In my opinion there were too many sweet tastes (cookies, nuts, canoli). Also it would be very nice to have paired a glass of NY state wine with the cheese from Murray's. The stop at Aphrodesia should be eliminated - it is too much of a stretch to include this shop in a food and cultural tour. Also it was puzzling that at least half of the restaurants we were given on our list of 36 were not mentioned or pointed out to us. I do plan to take the tour of the Village and Soho and the Chelsea Market tour on future visits to NYC. Thanks.

The tour guide was excellent--engaging, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I took two of my out-of-town family members and we all loved it. I have lived in New York for 2 years and am a certifiable foodie and I still learned a ton and discovered some great places to eat! Highly recommended.

This was the first time I had ever taken part in a food and walking tour of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District, and I enjoyed it very much. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I found my group to be friendly as well. I loved sampling all of the foods offered. I even went back to the Market to buy a few things once the tour had officially ended. I intend on taking part in the other food/walking tours offered, such as the Greenwich Village tour.

My husband and I decided to go to NYC on June 6th to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary! We wet to Italy last year and have an appreciation for food and history. This was perfect! Mike was our guide and he was filled with fantastic stories. The time flew by! Everything worked like clock work. We never waited for food. We met so many wonderful people and we got to see, eat, and learn about a place in NYC that we never knew much about! WE highly recommend this tour and we will be spreading the praise. We can't wait to go back! And Mike was just great! He really enjoys his job you can tell. And he is so good at it! Thank you Sheryl and Tony Miniscalco

Our guide, Michael, was excellent, very informative. The tour is a definite must for anyone interested in knowing more of the history of the village. The local food was authentic and amazing. Highly recommend. I can't wait for my next trip to the city to do another tour.

I believe Cindy was our guide. She is a wealth of knowledge - not just about the restaurants we toured and tasted, but also about the area, the people, the architecture and the businesses. I really enjoyed the tour. All the samples more than made up a meal. I did return to do some light shopping and snacking later. I will recommend it to friends for sure. Probably the most unique part of the tour was the salt tasting. I never gave it much thought before. I myself would have prefered more chocolate to the salt, but it was still very informative.

Our leader, Kurt, was well informed, organized, and had a good, spontaneous sense of humor. The food was plentiful, and for the most part, delicious. i never knew there were so many kinds of salt. Our walk through the meatpacking district was informative and well presented, especially, the biker's bar. My friend and I had a wonderful time, and are looking forward to the Greenwich Village tour.

My husband, three teenage daughters, and I had a great time. The food was delicious and the historical facts and trivia were interesting and fun. Lots of great suggestions on resturants we will definitely be visiting in the future.

Really liked it, but might throw a glass of wine or a beer in, along with maybe some fries or something from 86 bedford. My husband is a med size guy and he could have eaten quite a bit more w/o stuffing himself.

When are we going on the Chelsea Market tour?

We had a blast, our tour guide, Curt, was awesome! He knew the area very well and kept us entertained with little "tid bits" of information that we would have never found out on our own. I had bought this tour for one of my close friends for Christmas and she later told me that it was the best gifts I have ever given her in the 8 years of our friendship! We have made plans to do the Chelsea Market tour sometime in June and plan on inviting 2 other friends to come along. Thank you so much for this awesome experience and we will see you again!!!

I LOVED IT AND THE TOUR GUIDE WAS WONDERFUL. THE FOODS WERE VARIED AND DELICIOUS. THE HISTORY OF THE AREA AND THE EXPLANATIONS OF THE FOODS ON HOW IT BECAME A HIT TODAY WAS INCREDULOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND I WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK AGAIN SOON.
