Simply Delicious & Utterly Enjoyable

Two couples went on this tour, ranging in age from 37 to 55 years old. We all simply loved it. We tasted about 7 tastings, each one of them crazy delicious. Each stop, had a totally different ambiance and variety, which shows you how the choices in Greenwich are endless. Our tour guide Cindy, was an absolute doll. FULL of energy and information. Every corner we were, someone stopped to hug her and say hello. Some samplings: Joe's pizza - incredible cheese samples from Murrays' cheese- warm chocolate chip cookies- to die for cheesecake - the best mushroom risoto I've ever tasted in my entire life - A cheesey rice ball that was probably the most delicious thing I've ever had - fresh Italian Salami - Sweet & Savory olive oil tastings.....oh and secret hideaway on Cornelia street that made you feel like you were in an old French Farmhouse. Greenwich Food tour is really a must for someone that literally is in love with food and in love with the Village. The 3 hours just FLEW by. I seriously wish we would have also booked the Chelsa tour with Cindy as well, but we didn't have enough time. Cindy talked about the different building styles, and the time and era in which they were built. As you walked the streets, there is plenty of time to stop and take pictures of the darling brownstones. Cindy discussed other wonderful restaurants as you pass by, and suggests their specialty dish, as well as pointed out historical events and structures. Small enough group to hear what she was saying, and not feel crowded and felt like you were missing something like some large tours are. Suggestion: Take notes, cause you will for sure want to go back to some of the streets and places you visited.

An informative and enjoyable tour!!

Enjoyed our 3 hours. Learned a lot about the Greenwich area of NYC (history, architecture, culture, as well as food). Food was good. Our group (of 3) had eaten the day before at John's Pizzeria and preferred it overJoe's Pizza. Glad we went. Thanks, Barri (tour guide).

Father's Day present - adult kids and parents. It was a terrific way to spend time together. Curt was a fabulous tour guide - informative, dramatic, entertaining, fast paced but not rushing us.

Raheem is a terrific guide...and I'm desperately jealous that we don't have a dim sum place as good as Dim Sum Go Go near us. Great tour, good walk, a lot of tasty food!

The Greenwich Village Food Tour was one of the most fun things I've done in New York recently. Loved it!! The food tastings were excellent. And our guide, Barri, provided loads of great information on the area, historical tidbits and many food recommendations that we will definitely check out. Highly recommend this tour! I'm eager to try all of the other neighborhood tours offered.

Our guide was fabulous! He is a local who really knows his stuff, so enthusiastic with a great amount of knowledge about the market and the whole area. We had fantastic food and lots of laughs. I would recommend this to anyone! I would go again as there is so much to see and do around the area it is great!

Marie was a pretty good tour guide ...

Our group was a bit unwieldy at 16, but Marie did a pretty good job of keeping us together -- and in earshot of her commentary. A slice of pizza; olive olive oil and honey on 1/2 slices of baguette; a rice ball; a bowl of risotto, a large cookie; three bites of different cheeses and a slice or sopressata and finally a cannoli. Mosly on foot, seated twice -- once with access to a bathroom. Interesting tour of the historic district. Pretty interesting but not really a gourmet experience. Perhaps you'll go back and shop for the things you really wanted -- as we did -- taking home a wonderful collection of goodies for our supper. Don't forget to use your coupons in the brochure provided.

I learned more about New York in 3 hours than i have the previous 3 years i've lived in the city. Great food, great tour, great neighborhood stories that really bring the Village to life. It's like having a close friend for half a day walk you around the city, tell you where to eat and hang out, and shed light on things most folks don't know about. I recommend it to anyone and i hope to attend the other tours as well!! Great job.

Fantastic tour and guide

My wife and I took the tour while on a short trip to New York. We were unfamiliar with the Chelsea Market and it sounded like a fun way to experience it and the surrounding area. Instead of just sitting on a bus or listening to someone talk about it, you're completely involved in the tour. You get the opportunity to see, smell, touch and taste everything the market has to offer. And the food we sampled was amazing! Our guide, Curt, was enthusiastic, fun and very knowledgeable. I will (and have) recommended this tour to everyone I know that is visiting New York.

Excellent digest of Village nuances

Tour guide was a wealth of information, having lived in the village for 20+ years; restaurant stops concentrated on a very confined area...would have appreciated more walks on a wider perimeter to have a better breadth of the village space. We now have a better feel for the better restaurants within Greenwich Village.

Great food tour! Pleasant and knowlegeable tour guide. The tastings were all timed just right. The village has never looked so good and now so different! Will definitely do this again.
