Foods of New York Tours

This was my second tour, the first was a tour of the West Village last year. This time we went with our two adult children and did the Nolita/SoHo tour. My kids are 22 & 19 and both enjoyed themselves and said they would definitely do it again. We were in nyc 3 days and they asked why I didn't book one of these tours for each day. Our tour leader was Annie, and she did an awesome job. I can't wait to go to nyc again and try the Chinatown tour.

Wonderful way to check out neighborhoods in New York City. The food portions were generous and yummy! Bring your appetite. In fact we went back the next day to have lunch at one of the restaurants. Our tour guide also helped to make this a delightful experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour of Greenwich village. We tried some wonderful foods in a very beautiful area of NYC. Our tour guide was excellent! She provided a history of the area and the buildings and culture that really added to the experience. I will definitely try another tour in the future.

Quite frankly, we all just wanted to eat. The history of the location was a bit drawn out at times. But, thanks to our tour guide, she made it all the better. Sorry, can't remember her name now, but short hair, fairly tall, and very enthusiastic about her job. She was great! In general, the food tour was fun and worthwhile. Will certainly recommend.

I truly enjoyed this tour. The food, conversation and tour guide were all wonderful. The tour was only slighted marred by a group of mid-20s girls who had no interest in the food or the neighbourhood. Most threw out their food because they don't eat strange things. Not quite sure what they were doing there.

My sister and I live in the mid-Atlantic area so we enjoy frequent day trips to NYC. We agree that the Greenwich Village tour we took this past weekend was hands-down the best single 3-hour experience we've had in NYC ever. The food tastings, the walk, the historic sections we visited all made this a perfect all-around experience. Our guide Heather was engaging, knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all considering the humid day, most considerate of her group's comfort, keeping us in the AC or shade as much as possible, making sure we had enough water, and giving us an all-around terrific experience. She had the tastings perfectly timed so we never went into a shop without being served quickly. The variety of food naturally leaned towards Italian because of the area and it was all superb. I would have never been able to come to this area and sample all these treats and learn about the history on my own. I ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend this tour, and can't wait to try other tours from this group!

These food and culture tours are a great way to get oriented to one of New York's neighborhoods. The accompaniement of food makes for an enjoyable combination that also provides more intimate familiarity to the neighborhood. The Village is such a landmark and has so many hidden gems in small restaurants and specialized food shops that this tour of the Central Village isa real treat.

Barri was an excellent guide. She was not only interesting but also very friendly. Would highly recommend this activity for locals and tourists alike.

only downside was the heat, be prepared to sweat

I traveled to New York alone and was recommended by a coworker to do the Food/Culture Tour. It was an excellent way to see the city and experience the local flavors. I met wonderful people in and outside of my tour group. This was easily my favorite stop during my vacation! I have since recommended this to many people =o) Well done, Marie and Amy!

Great food, great people, great tour guide. Curt gave food tips, area history, city tips and information on anything else we wanted to know. He made everyone feel comfortable and part of the event.

During Memorial Day weekend, my ten-year-old son and I traveled to NYC. He is an adventurous eater and chef, so I looked specifically for a Food Tour. We could not have been more pleased with our tour of Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing District. Though I have visited NYC many times, I had never visited this part of the City. Our guide, Bob, was fabulous. He seemed to know everything about the area, about the food and about anything else that was asked. We learned so much and got to taste some amazing foods! I would highly recommend this tour or any of the other Food Tours by this company. I would also recommend Bob as a tour guide for anything NYC. That guy is awesome!

Great tour and an absolutely wonderful guide! Annie (or is it Anny?) was great, very upbeat, very positive and very knowledgable! We tasted some really great food and were provided with a fascinating history of the area. This tour is defintely worth attending, a real highlight of our entire trip! (ps - if you ask nicely, you may even be provided with a lovely song at the end of the tour!)
