This tour was an excellent way to use three of our precious hours in NYC. It had a perfect mix of walking, eating, sitting, historical info, etc. The amount of food all said and done was just right. The guide (Sephra?) was excellent. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour to others. I'll also plan to take another one of the Foods of NY Tour next time I visit! |

Chelsea Marketplace and the Meatpacking district were new to us and we loved learning about it's history. A bonus was walking on the High Line. Darrell made the experience much more enjoyable and memorable! |

Had a great time. Never realized that market was there. So interesting! Definitely will go back and explore for the day! Guide was very entertaining - great personality and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend - even if you are not a foodie! |

This tour was highly recommended by a friend who is very careful about her recommendations. We found it exciting, very interesting and most of all, enjoyable. Our guide Cindy was very lively and knowledgeable. She also was very popular among the locals and had a friendly attitude toward the diverse members of this group. The food samples were adequate and Cindy controlled the distribution of these as well as where we stood to eat or where to sit or stand to listen without bothering the locals too much. Our group was never in the way, and we appreciated that very much. We were also very well received by the staff at the places we visited: Murray's, Fiaccos, Milk and Cookies, Joe's Pizza, etc. At Oliviers & Co., Steve was most helpful providing us with useful, and humorous, information on olive oil. The olive oil samples on various breads were out of this world! We also enjoyed the wonderful cookies from Milk and Cookies and came back for more the next day. Cindy's historical information on buildings and places was a joy. We learned interesting stories such as the one about the house that is not big enough to have a full number but is worth millions, the beautiful corner house made out of wood, and the Greenwich Village theater, an off broadway venue. This tour was very exciting, enjoyable and memorable, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. |

this tour was entertianing and interesting. it gives one a good sense of life in greenwich village, some of history
and some decent food - but nothing exceptional other than the basil olive oil at O & Co. |

This was an interesting way to get to know a bit of history about the Village and to get a glimpse of its many offerings. Food tastings were extremely rich, each and every one of them. People who put tour together must have had iron stomachs. Highlight of tour was olive oil shop - very educational. Cindy, the tour guide was educated about the area, but was condescending to one of the women on the tour and made some politically incorrect comments that made me very uncomfortable. As tour guides go, she was fair at best. |

Our group of four golf girls from the Midwest enjoyed not only the food-- which was abundant and excellent-- but we also enjoyed learning some of the history of the area. Tour was conducted at a leisurely pace and the only negative comment from our group was "too much to eat". We didn't eat again until the next day-- but we did have wine later. :) |

What a great time we had on our tour! We would highly recommend the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour and we can't wait to return to New York to do another one. Learning about the National Biscuit Company, High Line and the recent history made the tour flow nicely. The addition of coupons for purchases at the places we visted was a great touch. |

thought i'd be seeing greenwich village. instead, only went about 2 blocks from start, and samples of food not that good, and the leader talked too much about food, and little about sights, which we didn't see anyways |
