We would all like to say how much we enjoyed this tour. We had already been on the Greenwich Village tour and thought that was great. This was even better. Our tour guide, Bob, made this tour outstanding. Bob was interesting and informative. We highly recommend him and this tour

This is a great way to learn your away around Greenwich Village, and taste a few treats along the way. Our tour guide was superb and full of great historical information. A great tour which I highly recommend. We'll be trying the Meat Packing District next!

Kirk, our tour guide was awesome. He was very enthusastic and entergetic. He taught us a lot about the village. We booked the tour because my Mom (Frances), when asked what she wanted to do in NYC (her first visit), she said all she wants to do is see Greenwich Village, whatever else we do is ok. My wife found this tour. All of us were extremely happy. We would pay more for this tour. The food was great. The quantities were more than enough. This is an awesome tour that you provide. Zerve and Kirk should be complemented ten fold. thanks Wade, Robin, Herman, Frances from New Orleans, LA

This tour was outstanding! Our guide was not only knowledgable but engaging and entertaining as well. He was only one of the components that made this such a fun tour. The food was outstanding, the stores were unique, the cultural history of the Village was colorful and the actual walk was quite enjoyable. What a great way to spend an afternoon!

I cannot think of a better way to spend 3 hours in New York or anywhere else for that matter. It was a cold, cold day but the good cheer and the friendliness of our guide and the merchants kept us warm. The food was more than adequate. We had an abundance to eat and the variety was great. Our guide was Mike and he was delightful. His knowledge of the history and some of the gossip of the Village was fantastic. We had a nice mix of walking and resting. We did have a small group of 9 people and that helped a lot. We all had time for questions, comments, etc. I really would like to take this tour again. It was a lot of information to take in at one time. We had a nice group--2 from Australia, 2 from France, 2 from Texas and 3 from Virginia. Have recommended this tour to gourmet groups in Richmond and our tour leader here. Hope they take me up on it. We had a ball!!!!!

Great idea but was disappointed in the execution

We had really been looking forward to our tour based on a great experience in Chicago. Several things happened that left us disappointed and feeling like we'd wasted our money and a half day of our limited time in NY: Our group was too big (17 adults) so we could not enter many of the food venues...samples were brought out to us on the sidewalk and were constantly having to be conscious about blocking the sidewalk; our guide tended to focus on whether we'd need reservations to eat at a place, or how popular it was in the neighbourhood (she knew b/c the company has done great research we were assured). This information is not relevant to most tourists; we stopped mostly at restaurants vs specialty food stores where we might have learned from the proprietor about different cheeses/teas/breads (we did go into a tea shop but were served cashews and the proprietor did not say a word); there was very little historical or cultural information shared. Overall it was a big disappointment.

I am from Canada and attended this tour with two friends and we all enjoyed it immensely. Dave was our tour guide and he was very informed about all of the different foods, restaurants and the history of the area. We had some short bursts of heavy rain when touring and were provided with ponchos which was great. Dave also changed the order of the tour to get us out of the rain as much as possible. The food was delicious and we definitely didn't need lunch after the tour. I would be happy to go on another tour provided by Foods of New York.

My husband & I went on a Fri. 12 noon tour, it was a surprise for his b-day. We are from Long Island and go into the city often, it was so nice to do something different than Midtown shopping, sightseeing and the theatre. We really enjoyed learning about the area. The tour guide Kurt was wonderful, he even sang Happy Birthday. I would definately do it again, the food was great, the shops were amazing, we went back to the market on Sun. to bring stuff home.

Had a lovely time with this tour: our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area, we found out about amazing places (and people) we would not have found on our own, and of course, got to taste lots of delicious food on the way . highly recommended.

My daughter and I signed up for the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour. We were a little unnerved by the number of tour buses going down Bleecker Street when we first got there, but the tour made up for it. The tour guide was so knowledgable and engaging. The places we visited were so unique and we under the impression that we would get a small tasting and were rather shocked by the full size tastings we had. You definitely do not want to eat lunch after you complete the tour. I especially enjoyed the walk around the entire area and the explanation of the architecture and history from it's first beginnings. My daughter and I went back to some of the shops and ordered some of the things we saw during our tour to be shipped back to us with the discount the stores provided for attending the tour. That was an added bonus. The area is absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York. Some of the retaurants are tucked away so we would have never known about them had we not attended the tour. The food was all delicious.
