I loved the history of the market. The tastings were great. The guide was very informed. She was fun and seemed to really enjoy her job. I would recommend you take the tour. A wonderful way to spend a few hours.

You can go through the places listed in the tour description yourself but you can never get the history and stories that you get as a part of the tour. People can live in and around these areas their whole life without knowing of the origins and changes. This tour definitely made us appreciate the history and culture of this district. Definitely worth the money and the time. Food that we tasted as a part of the tour was delicious. Well planned and executed.

This was my first trip to NYC, and I knew I wanted to see Greenwich, and eat a lot of great food :-) This was a great way to accomplish both. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was fantastic. If I get the chance to go back I'll definitely check out their other tours.

My daughter and I had so much fun on this tour. Bert was a knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining guide; the food was beyond belief tasty and the choice of restaurants/stores/bakeries was superb. Afterward, we returned to some of the stops to buy olive oil, deli items, pastries & to schedule my daughter's 21st birthday celebration at one of the restaurants. We would never have known about these gems had we not done the tour. We would take it again in a New York minute!

My wife and I attended the food tour whilst on our Honeymoon in NYC. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. A great opportunity to try food we wouldn't normally try out and a unique opportunity to see some really interesting parts of the village with a great mix of history and famous tv landmarks. Our tour guide (Bert) was brilliant and clearly loves his job. An awesome experience highly recommended to all.

We signed up for this food tour on a whim, thinking it was something different that we had not done in New York and we were not disappointed. On the tour we learned about the history of the Chelsea Market building and the neighborhood. We also learned about the history and creation of the High Line (and did a short walk on it). Our tour guide, Bob, was very knowledgeable and outgoing. We had 7 different tastes on the tour ranging from chocolate milk to a sit down plate of pasta. Overall, more food was served that I would typically eat for lunch. Bob did a great job of explaining the people behind the food. Six of the tastes were in the Chelsea Market itself, and one was in the neighborhood. For those squeamish folks, there was nothing weird in the tastings; no raw fish or anything. There was one vegetarian in our group and special tastings were prepared for her. I personally would have enjoyed a little more time in the neighborhood and little less in the market. The market gets very crowded and noisy on a Sunday. Also it would have been neat to meet one of the proprietors of the places we got tastings from. Overall though, a very enjoyable Sunday late morning/early afternoon.

Our tour guide Annie was a gem!!!! She was warm, funny, knowledgeable & made sure that a wonderful time was had by all. She provided wonderful stories & snippets of history of the area which made the tour that much more than just a food tasting. Don't get me wrong....the food was great!! We sampled food from seven different establishments which were varied & delish. Thinking about what tour we will book next. Thanks Annie!!!

Our group really enjoyed this tour - it was informative and the food was great. Our guide Diana was fabulous. I would highly recommend this tour - saw a wonderful area of NYC that we may not have visited without the tour. Great way to learn about the area.

We three girlfriends from before high school all love food and we were not disappointed in the tastings, but the Chelsea Market tour wasn't just about the food . Our tour guide, Diana, was so engaging and full of fun - she's a natural lecturer (in a good way). The history of the market is fascinating and she conjured up for us the most amazing images of what it must have been like back in the days of horse and carriage. I can hardly wait to return to NYC to go on the Greenwich Village tour. Highly, highly recommended!

Love the tour. Rachim - our guide was wonderful - knew his stuff, was courteous to people living in the tour area. Wide variety of food stops...each unique in their own way. You wont be hungry after this. 3 hours flew by - never a boring moment.
