Good Eats and History in Greenwich

| Our tour guide, Barri, was great. She showed she knows her food, the history of Greenwich ,and her job. All the samples were great. They were so great that my wife and I went back on our own on Monday. Unforunately we did not hit all the places we wanted to; but, we went to Rocco's and ate a great meal at a Italian Restruant down the street from Joe's. We also went back to the spice shop Barri took us to, and will be doing business by mail. The same Murray's and the Mediterranean Specialities. We will soon have some Basil Olive Oil being deliveried to our home. Bottom line it was a great tour, even better food, and a great guide. We will make sure weagain take the tour on next year's New York trip. George and Nancy Stefano | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The walk was just enough to help us appreciate the food and not too strenuous. Liked the historical references and architecture lessons. The food was generous and a good variety of snacks, desserts, and heartier fare like pizza. Amy was a great tour guide. | ||||||

| The food tastings were superb - some of which I would never have thought of ordering, the area covered included places we would not have found on our own - the guide (Cindy) was great fun and very interesting as well as entertaining, and the whole group were very friendly and we chatted to a number of other participants as we walked. Being given a list of places we visited and recommendations of other restaurants (together with coupons) was a very good idea. Everything was so well thought out, down to napkins and water bottles | ||||||

| My 14 year old granddaughter was with me. We both enjoyed the food offered. The tour was very interesting and our guide was delightful. He presented the points of interest in and enjoyable way. I am a native New Yorker and I was glad to see and get to know a part of the city I had never been in before. All the food offered was of excellent quality. I did think that, if possible, it could have been offered more in the way of a "meal" - appetizer, entree, dessert. I realize that may not be possible when offered during a walking tour. I would definitely do something like this again and have already recommended the tour to friends. | ||||||

| What a great tour! Not only did we get to feast on a wide variety of foods but also got a wonderful tour of the Village. Our tour guide (Amy) was very knowledgable about the area and provided a very interesting narrative as we walked around. It was my first visit to the Village but after Amy's tour we went back and toured around on our own, and had John's pizza for dinner. I would highly recommend this tour to all of my friends and family! | ||||||

| We Canadians booked a food tour of Greenwich Village. From Murrays Cheese Shop to all the little family run Italian delis/bakeries were excellent. Our tour guide, Bari, was full of all kinds of food/historical/arcitectural information. She was great. | The pace was good and the information provided gave me a sense of comfort about each place we toured. The extra cultural info was a plus and for me, an outsider to the Village. My children ages 10, 13 & 15 enjoyed the tour but some of the info was beyond their interest level. The pace, however, made up for that. | ||||||
